I do find their new demands for a bigger stadium quite funny, especially as they were struggling to get 20k not too long ago. 

10 of their 23 league games in the Championship 16/17 were with attendances below 20,000 - including a couple that were less than 16,000 at home. Three whole seasons in League One - 69 home games - they had more than 26,000 only four times. We will probably beat that before the World Cup kicks off. 

Nottingham is a big city so obviously I do think there is a good demand, but Clough was absolutely on the money when he said it's not a footballing town.

One typically gets between 5-6k a game, though, although Notts County do have a fairly big 'sleeper' support. 

Manchester United seem to be the second best supported team in Nottingham, rather than County, at least in my experience.
