And that’s what happens when the regulatory body doesn’t stand up to it’s members.  Tail wagging the dog.

Although Burnley might have a case but Leeds?  Nah, no case to answer ?!!

Totally right, although We thought that with Wycombe.. but it somehow remained a thing

I’m all in favour of suing  any club which had an effect on our relegation whereby they breached any rules this season gone. Points taken off us…places…whatever. They are all compliant in their silence letting Boro and WW drag out our problems.

Good thread on this by Swiss Ramble here:

Effectively, it seems to come down to Everton factoring in the effects of a depleted Covid transfer market, and writing off values because of that. It seems like they've been open about this with the league and they've taken advice from outside financial experts to ensure that it's above board, but we've already seen that even that's not enough to avoid being punished.

Similar to Derby, their problems have a root cause. Diabolical recruitment.

And its not just confined to the EFL/FA now...

His new contract apparently takes his wages over £1.5m a week, once you factor in a signing on bonus and basic pay!

Take away the obvious conversations about the obscene money for mbappe, am I the only one who thinks its hillarious that laliga (for that read real madrids preferential treatment by laliga) are complaining that mbappes money is a disgrace whilst simultaneously ignoring the fact that madrid will have given him similar money.

Ffp does not matter to city or psg. That much is obvious by now. Spend what you like lads, we've got Bury, Macclesfield and Derby to sort out.

You would imagine whichever of the Dirties and Burnley manage to avoid relegation is unlikely to pursue any claim against a fellow PL club since they wouldn't be seen to be at a financial disadvantage. This leaves the relegated club feeling hard-done by aa they then come under the jurisdiction of those bungling fools at the EFL. That then becomes a hornets nest with a member club of the EFL potentially making a claim against a member club of the PL - I can't envisage the 2 governing bodies butting up against one another and wanting to intervene on behalf of their memberl

The only avenue remaining would appear to take the issue through the courts.

ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!!!

Jimmy Hill has a lot to answer for!  Good job there isn't a cost of living crisis going on...

Must be tough kicking a ball around for £1m/week and 100m signing on fee amongst other bonuses ?

Gotta laugh at La Liga's complaint though, especially when Real Madrid were offering a package of £300m+...

Does he want to buy a stadium?

La Liga have a point, yet they don’t have a leg to stand on to make a complaint.

The money isn’t even the most concerning element of Mbappe’s reported contract, he now has a say on the Sporting Director, Manager and signings.

Leonardo has now left, Poch is set to follow. Were both of these agreed on Mbappe putting pen to paper?

We’ve talked so much about player power before at clubs like Chelsea, but if true, this is an insane amount of power to give to one player.

That is no change..PSG has been player led ever since the country ownership..manager has always had an impossible job there..
