Still getting the current equivalent of 100,000 deaths per year.

There has never been a flu death toll in this country approaching those figures in the last 25 years. You're right - the people who say it's 'no more dangerous than the flu' are, and always have been, absolute cretins.

The equivalent of 100,000 per year are dying WITH Covid.

The cat is out of the bag though and we now know 40% of people being recorded with Covid in hospitals are in there for something else.

Also 300 deaths a day out of 200,000 cases a day does not sound like its very dangerous to me. Wonder what the comparative figure for the flu is?

Guess you have the answer?

The percentage of deaths v survival, EVEN WITH the over inflated death from any cause garbage never did and never will justify what has been and is still being done to people , as time goes on this will become clearer and more exposed , only cretins will cling to the need to feel right about supporting and advocating the damage done which is verging on criminal

So despite pretty much everyone now accepting that this virus is now no longer any more dangerous than the flu, it appears my daughters school have decided to revert back to remote learning because they want to implement a 'circuit breaker', and obviously school teachers are very well placed to assess what affect this will have on public health.

Absolute cretins.

How long had they been back after the extended Christmas break?

What is an over inflated death?

Latest figures suggest that you are 24 times more likely to die of Covid-19 if you are unvaccinated.

Darwin at work.

You’re both analytical and logical. As both, you’ll know the key word there is “suggest”. There’s no way of proving this. To be able to prove or disprove this you’d need to somehow test the same subject under both conditions, and that’s impossible.

There are stats saying that 80-90% of Covid deaths are people with significant existing health problems and in the top age bracket!

Whereas the numbers of previously healthy people dying after a vaccine is more varied across the age ranges.

Theres a lot of data out there that suggests death rates are higher in the most vaccinated countries. Britain, Denmark and Israel all seem high atm but have highest vaccination rates for instance.

Ever considered a crossover?

We're all 'previously healthy' until we've actually been diagnosed with something, so perhaps your vaccine related death figures for the previously healthy include a large number of people who were not in fact previously healthy, rather they had underlying health conditions they were not previously aware of, or had stubbornly refused to see a doctor about and so were undiagnosed?

You either die or you don't. The figures do not lie.

Yawn ,,, the figures do lie as is being constantly shown now , how do you get covid death figures up? Simples , record non covid deaths as covid deaths ??‍♂️,

don’t even start the excess death figures , the non covid related deaths in the home numbers have gone through the roof,

I still personally  don’t know a single person that has died from or been severely I’ll from covid , I know tons and tons who have tested positive before and after vaccines , nearly 3 years into a pandemic so deadly we have closed the whole world down and are fine for deaths to rocket from anything else ??‍♂️

A good BBC article:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-60161124

Time to let it go. Just look at the case numbers in France & Netheralnds, who have had much more stringent restrictions than we have recently.

Daily death figures are now (even more?) meaningless with 40% of people in hospital, there for something else.

Quote:

And this combination of the virus becoming almost unstoppable but also less severe means even those who once advocated a Zero-Covid approach, such as Edinburgh University's Prof Devi Sridhar, accept it is time to change tactics.

It was reasonable to move away from restrictions, she said in a recent article in the Guardian newspaper, as they were at risk of becoming more disruptive than the now "defanged" virus itself.

...and I'm definitely going to try and use "defanged" more in conversation ?

Figures lie all the time as they are almost always entirely dependent upon context and in other fields sampling. If you look at figures outside of this framework you can make them say what you want.
