That’s a great result for Swansea.

We are still playing for pride.

So maybe the likelihood is that we won't quite make it, but even if we don't, we will have all enjoyed a damn fine few months which will tee us up nicely for a real go in the coming season.

I don't quite understand the need to continually downplay all the good things that are happening right now.

It's in our hands.

1 win against either Brom or Brentford.

Beat Cardiff and beat Birmingham and i reckon we will have done it.

I think Leeds will be up by 18th (penultimate match). They may take their foot of the gas (slightly) ?‍♂️Stranger things have happened.....

Yes, like you having any interest in what's happening. I seem to remember you ridiculing me for saying that the season would finish behind closed doors, also, that it would be obscene because of the number of deaths.

Some posters just can't help it - constant negativity

Who is being negative?

I was optimistic as anyone after Preston last week. But the Forest game on Saturday brought me back down to Earth.

Let's see what happens tomorrow. If we get a point or more, everyone will be buzzing, including me...

Tomorrow is the big indicator for me.

Last game of Lawrence's suspension, Waggy suspended, Martin played 4 days previously, Evans (who I do rate there) as makeshift CB. Versus second top West Brom who will be desperate to get a result after seeing Brentford edge ever closer. Toughest game of our run in I feel.

If we can win there, it's on. Leaves us with 2 home games against 2 of the top 3 but given our record this year, we're capable of picking up points against both. Crowd is irrelevant, its the psychological boost of playing somewhere we generally do very well. Brum & Cardiff are no great shakes away so points up for grabs there too.

COYR!!!

Ooh I know, it's on the tip of my tongue.  It's, it's, it's...

No. Can't remember.

Me? Remy the hare? Obscene deaths?
My thought process back in April / May was there being more important things going on with the pandemic than 22 men kicking a bag of air around and project restart being self indulgent to satisfy money men. Does this ban me now from having an opinion or supporting again?

Think Brentford winning was huge for us too. Pressure will really be on Albion now, whereas we can relax slightly and is no longer must win.

Don't think WBA cope well with pressure, so will hopefully play into our hands.

Then Brenford come to Pride Park with a win to 2nd. That sort of pressure messes with your head.

Tomorrow, Swansea go to Birmingham. We go to West Brom.

At the weekend, Swansea play Leeds at home. We play Brentford. Cardiff have Fulham away.

Given that, there's a good chance for them to be in 6th come the end of the week.

It's easier not to expect too much with us and be pleasantly surprised. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

The Blackburn result also just about plays Preston back in.  But they'll have to be dead motivated to win their next one.  And it's a festival of anti-football against Notts.

And that's sort of the point.  So many twists and turns, let's just enjoy the ride. COYR!

Mentality is a funny thing. Some teams thrive on pressure or need it to perform, some other teams crumble under it. Its not always apparent until the crunch.

West Brom have seemed a bit vulnerable this season despite their position but can't decide whether its complacency in what seems a pretty poor quality division or not.

Brentford are probably a different bag as unlike West Brom they're not expected to go up & havent been top two this season. The momentum to chase always seems stronger than defending what you have. I do still fancy us to give them a bloody good game at PP though.

If we scrape into the play offs this season its a massive bonus. We shouldn't even be in with a chance with all thats gone on but the old DCFC rollercoaster keeps going.

I have no doubt whatsoever that if we finish in 6th place we will win the play offs - absolutely nailed on, Rooney winner against the gumps in the final.....?

Surely your dream scenario is Gumps v. Stoke on the last day of the season playing out a draw?  A result that doesn't do enough to keep Stoke up and simultaneously sees Notts slide out of the top six.

if Preston make the playoffs i'll eat not just my hat, but a pair of Kenny Burns undies that he's worn on an all dayer with the lads, spent  three hours at a club gyrating to gabba techno in, before following through after downing a reheated vindaloo at 3am on Curzon Street. That's how certain I am they won't be bothering the playoffs.
