Ridiculous to change manager on a 4 year contract playing young players.

We need to see more, confidence seems at rock bottom, but we've got to keep plugging away and hope things turn.

I'm hopeful Cocu could have these lot playing better in the short term than they are, but that would move away from the long term for short term results.

You can argue that's worthwhile right now, but how long do you delay progress for, where has that attitude taken us over Mel's ownership?

Davies and Fozzy just can't do the job required, I'm hoping Max Hunt returns from Aldershot a man and can step up.

Cocu in.

Sadly out..

Lovely bloke but totally unprepared for life in the championship.

But if we do make a change, just don't go the opposite Rowett/Pearson route, stick to the philosophy with someone who knows what they are doing.

Who?

Well said. This league is crazy, yet we can't even lose 3-1 one week and then go and thrash a team 4-0 the next. I've seen enough of the guy now to see that he very clearly can not inspire players and motivate them when necessary. It's a very dangerous catalyst for a league like this. I don't look at the manager and think he can get us out of this situation. He's not demonstrated anything that can.

There was a sense of optimism under Frank. Also that the team was going to go out and do their best and compete. Under this guy its as flat as a pancake. Players look like they are going through the motions. Nobody has improved under him. And this issue in the Joiners arms that is cited as a major part in derailing the season and 'not his fault'. The discipline or lack of it amongst the players is the managers fault, its him that drives the culture and the expectations.

So its looking increasingly dodgy for him

Absolute rubbish, clubs have a culture and this is inherited, yes the manager must change this, but this takes time.

I'm of the opinion we stick with Cocu regardless this season. We need a rebuild, far too many false dawns before.

Those calling for Mac 3 are delusional.

Crass to keep him, he's clueless.

Too many armchair experts being rallied on by Radio Derby’s Marriott agenda. As a fan base we are becoming increasingly petulant.

We are going through a bad patch in a season fans should have resigned to a struggle a few months back. It’s quite obvious some of the squad players have struggled to step up their responsibility (Holmes, Josefzoon, Evans) while our two players who could make a difference (Bielik and Marriott) have struggled to find consistent form after a delayed preseason. Nothing has been ideal yet, but a couple of signings in January should see us a bit more refreshed.
