Why are seemingly all the pictures having the contrast turned up? It's making them all look dirty!!!

Another reason to be proud of Derby County.

Most companies only allow work experience youngsters to make the tea and run errands. Looks like Derby trusted them with the photo editing.

If all the youngsters have numbers, what’s the deal with Whitakker and Jayden Mitchell Lawson?? Surely they’re worth a number at the very least. They’ve been involved preseason.

Unless theres a big marquee number 7 winger..?

Most players around the first team will have numbers allocated but not activated if that makes sense.

Mitchell-Wilson, Wilson, Barnes will likely have numbered training tops if they are working with the first team, and kits in place should they be in the squad. These will only become part of the official squad numbers as and when they make the bench.

Arsenal is usually the best example of this. This year their squad numbers go up to at least 87. Usually you only know up to about 40, but the hidden ones allow them to have everything in place in case they want to suddenly put 18 youngsters into a carrotcake cup tie.

Re: our numbers being pretty static, I imagine the pressure to launch, sell and get names printed as early as possible means certain players have to retain their number or you're going to pee a number of fans off.

Nothing wrong in my mind with giving first teamers appropriate numbers unless it's going to go to their heads. If Bogle is our first choice right back why not allocate number 2 (unless he doesn't want it.) Might make Wizzy work twice as hard to get it back.

Might add value to a player like Bogle too. We'd like to buy your first choice right back that you deem good enough to receive the no. 2 shirt, compared to we'll give you a few quid for your no. 37.

how long have they had this idea for?  Makes you wonder

In all seriousness, this is probably something 32Red legitimately have waiting in the wings all the time. "If you can get someone incredibly high profile, put them in the no.32 shirt, we'll pay you a damn sight more." sort of deal.

It's the sort of things marketers sit on constantly.

Every other 32Red club in England has their #32 shirt free, despite most having numbers over it; and we've kept 32 free the whole time 32Red have been with us. Coincidence?

Very clever giving Rooney 32 making the 32 Red shirt sponsorship worth shed loads. Commercial masterstroke.

Masterstorke and more.

Growth markets for betting company are China (they will have heard of Wayne Rooney) and the US which  is about to or has just allowed betting on sporting events. Whatever salary we are paying him how much would it cost for an advertising campaign featuring Rooney in both those countries alone?
