TigerTedd
Its all just an excuse though really. Should waghorn have converted his chance? Yes. But chances will always be missed, penalties may or may not be given. The real question is: Should we have created many more chances in the first place? rammieib
The only one I can think of all season which was a definite pen (and not given) was Lawrence at home to Swansea.
walkleyowl
Think you lot are in our "you need to be shot" group, our local rag has us, you, Leeds and one more as clubs having one pen all season, that said after "Gordon" Keogh a couple of years back you can balls ? kingsy1884
We need to get to the oppositions box to get a penalty right......?

I read something yesterday that listed us as 20th in the entire league for touches in the opposition box, so it's not surprising that's roughly where we are in the division for penalties scored. And that’s the damning and totally unsurprising stat that sums up the way we’ve played this season. Created so few clear cut chances

Usually some frickin idiot has tried a 35 yarder before then or the ball is in the sky ready to be headed. Woodley Ram
It would help if we ran with the ball into the penalty area, we dont . I was hoping we would do that against the Gumps but we kept passing or running sideways . I think if JoFlo , Harry or Bogle ran into the box one of the Gumps would have tackled and then who knows

Gee SCREAMER !!
Most of ours last season were Vydra. Before that we had a couple of years of Martin doing the old Franny Lee. Perhaps we can sign Lee Tomlin.
Carl Sagan
Tine and again this season we're not getting them when we should. No one's mentioned Duane Holmes being kicked in the head by the Leeds keeper. It's said here we go down too theatrically. Nonsense! Lawrence didn't expect to be whacked hard in the top of his chest. And in the Millwall game Marriott controlled the ball brilliantly in the box in the first half taking it across the defender who impeded him, but Marriott tried to stay on his feet and get the shot away. The ref had to blow for the pen but did nothing because the player didn't go down. It's terrible to penalize players for trying to stay on their feet when if he'd dropped to the ground it was a stonewaller. Bogle should have had a couple of pens too but they've been waved away. And the galling thing is our perfect record in shootouts this season, when previously we've not looked nearly so lethal.
