Van der MoodHoover
Fantastic goal. Got a soft spot for Uruguay. Spent a couple of weeks in Montevideo in 2005. The most welcoming city I've ever visited. Lovely people.
Shuff264
Uruguay are everything Argentina weren't, a team playing for one another with a plan and organisation
TigerTedd
I had to switch the match off as soon as it finished. I kissed the shots of crying Argentina fans. Gutted. We’re there any decent shots of Maraddonna’s reaction, was he flipping his fingers at anyone, or was he crying like a big fat, coked up baby? SaintRam
Who's trying to copy the Iceland Viking chant? Or are there a bunch of Icelandic fans in the crowd?
Bob The Badger
Gotta love the Iceland fans. Totally love them dominating a game they're not even in!

According to the commentary here in the US they're Iceland fans who already had tickets.
SaintRam
That Ronaldo FK almost found its way through the wall there. An inch or so off, fine margins.

SaintRam
I like how Suarez continues to lie to his physios. Has them scrub his head. Quite remarkable.
SaintRam
Glenn Hoddle sums up his attitude towards football by questioning why Uruguay don't take the ball into the corner to see out the first half.
SaintRam
And thus we lose Ronaldo too.
Andicis
Rowett probably couldn't contain his excitement at the way Uruguay play. Complete and utter shithouses.

I'm not sure Uruguay play shithouse football. They just have some of the best defenders in the world. Portugal are a possession based team, and were naturally trying very hard second half. The amount of play acting, 10 men behind the ball with Suarez up top. Seemed very much how I'd define that. I'd actually say Portugal are more of a counter attack team than possession based, when a defense sits back against them they struggle a lot.
