What series have you tried really hard to watch - having heard from reliable sources they are 'the dogs', but can't? You really want to like it, but it's just not clicked and an episode or two in you've just given up..you're thinking of trying again but you just don't have it in you....yet...can you be convinced...??

For me-

Breaking Bad, saw three episodes, just a bit silly and not gripping.

Peaky Blinders, it's so, 'so-so'...2 episodes in and can't help thinking it's for people who haven't got Sky...so think Mrs Brown's Boys is the funniest thing on earth.

Game of thrones! never got it!

peaky blinders I was the same with but my sister told me to stick out the first series and now I'm hooked!

Peaky blinders.....just never got interested enough to watch more than 3 episodes....I cant think of the name of it at the moment and I have banned myself from using Google to look up anything I know that I do actually know....but that costume drama that everyone was so excited about...the Americans loved it......aggghhhhh its killing me now....not the Crown (which is excellent) the other one.... anyway, I didn't get into that either....oh and two more....The West Wing...and house of cards....too many characters walking around all over the place.

did you watch any of it? It's a class act and easily in the top 5, maybe top 3 of all the boxset type dramas. It's part fact, part fiction, with actual characters from Prohibition. So clever and well made. Give it 5 episodes and you'll end up binge watching.

Watched a season and a bit. Crap.

My wife really thought she didn’t like game of thrones. She just got the impression it was dragons and porn. But she got sick of everyone talking about it at work, so I said I’d rewatch a couple of episodes with her and she got totally hooked.

I watched about half an episode of boardwalk empire and it didn’t immediately grip me, I should probably go back to it eventually, but I didn’t really have the time at the time.

24, I’ve watched a couple of seasons of, and it’s quite exciting, but American series that go on for 20-odd episodes annoy me. They just end up being a commitment, and I’ve got enough of those.

Mom already committed to watching super girl, the flash and arrow with my daughter. That’s 3 hours I have to find to sit down with my daughter in a week, it’s surprisingly difficult and then it keeps building up in my sky plus box. I keep TVs king about dropping green arrow, but I’m commited now, I’d feel like I’d titally wasted my time if I don’t stick it out to the end. But when will it end?

i wasn’t into doctor who at all, till my daughter wanted to watch it (cos she’d watched it with her cousins, she was only about 3) and needed supervision to watch more. Now that’s our thing. So she got me into that one.

I want to really like breaking bad, and I quite like it. I’ve watched 3 seasons now, but I’m not in a place where I absolutely have to seek out the next season. I’ll get round to it eventually. I like that I know it had a finite end.

And finally, I had the whole series of Fargo waiting to be watched on sky plus, but I never found time to get round to it, and it was taking up too much space so I deleted it. I think I regret that now.

Anyone watched 13 reasons Why?

I thought it's some girly garbage at first but carried on

I had "an eyelash in my eye" for quite a lot of it.

You need tissues. Sad ones not happy ones

I'm on Narcos ...phase 2...have pushed on and it's been worth it. Seen the trailer  for this and thought it looked a bit Twilight-esque audience focussed. Keep me informed as only days away from having no clue where to go next.

Breaking Bad is the gaping hole in my CV but I just couldn't get into it. It's a big time commitment too. Sinner, Making a Murderer and Mindhunter have been great as short term relationships.

Still hurting about Dexter..not sure I'm ready for big commitment still. Got two series in and Netflix pulled the series ?? ......

Yeah, not what I would call entertainment, found it quite hard to watch to be honest and not because the series was bad, just a sad storyline

Really good show. I do think that season 2 might end up being much worse though, because it'll be hard for them to format it in the way that they originally did, so I think it may lose some of it's magic.

I thought it was a special piece of television and really emotive and powerful. Given my thoughts/feelings on mental health and dealing with pain, this programme hit me hard. I was thinking about it for weeks afterwards. Yes I cried a lot too.

Tried The Killing and found it weirdly jarring. Wormwood wasn't gripping...so tried 13 Reasons....

Really reeled me in...

VERY American but quality.  Bit like Friends...in that its all a bit neat, everyone's beautiful and American cliches abound (Football jocks, perfect teeth...) but very interesting nonetheless. Thought provoking...

Glad you watched 13 Reasons Why.

Yes, it can be a bit girly-twighlight-esque at times but it's some serious shizzle.

I'm a wuss anyway. I cry at Undateables when they finally catch a break. But if this show doesn't impact your emotions and make you think for a while after the credits roll I'll be shocked.

There's a character or more to relate to for any viewer.

It's tragic.

I don't really see how it reveal characters and events any more without making them all seem unbelievable. What was so special was how some of them were pretty decent kids that just gave Hannah some "banter". That's what made it so thought provoking. There's no evil genius. No mystery to unravel.

The second season is supposed to reveal even more about what went on. That could take away the "Butterfly effect" thing from normal kids that was so engaging.

The whole season had that impending doom that the 2nd season won't be able to replicate. Whether it was Clays tape or Hannah's suicide or both. You dreaded seeing it through to the end.

I've not watched owt properly since. It was so heavy going that I can't face anything deeper than Live At The Apollo

I agree with this. I know it would be too profitable, but it as a show would probably be best if it was just one series. It doesn't easily fit into the standard show pattern that can easily be replicated. I would like to see certain characters from the first series get their come uppance, but some of the end parts were a touch unrealistic was my thoughts. I'll certainly watch it though and give it a fair chance, and maybe it will surprise me!

I dont see why Series 2 couldn't just be a totally different group. Someone in another town who heard/read about what Hannah did...and having experienced similar traumas decides to replicate it.

Particularly if it were a young lad and showed how his angst's are different but similar to her's ..
