Ram8 Posted October 21, 2017 Share Posted October 21, 2017 Barry Bannan would be a great signing, a genuine 'creative and controlling midfielder' to co- ordinate defence/midfield/forward play .. capable of holding the ball in tight situations, slowing things down when necessary, and spraying the ball around .. we haven't had anyone like him for a few seasons (other than the few games when he was on loan) .. Also got to look at players that are young in teams from Div one and two that are hungry for success.We should have gone for Ollie Watkins during the summer. proven he can cut it in the championship in a mid table side. Dundee took the minimal risk, signed him and what a signing it is turning out to be... No doubt he could make the step up from Scottish league to Championship. Nuwtfly Posted November 3, 2017 Share Posted November 3, 2017 I'd like to see us go in for Marcus Maddison, Kieftenbeld (if Ledley doesn't sign until the end of the season) and perhaps a young and upcoming centre-half. I really like Keogh and Davies, but they're not getting any younger, and it would be nice to get a promising young version of someone like Curtis Davies in the building, so he can start learning from those two and step in when needed. A few suggestions for this role might be Curtis Nelson (Oxford United) or Liam Lindsay (Barnsley).
