The absolute class of Chris Powell

He was really choked. Quite emotional. But clearly just a lovely fella.

He said that Pearson had picked the team (4-3-3) and was magnanimous and full of praise for NP.

he seemed a mixture of proud, shell shocked, emotional and relieved.

He was diplomatic too.

He's always been a fan favourite

and this evening just proves why.

I agree. But I'm sure they said no interviews with players tonight

They must have pushed the poor lad out the dressing room door. Bless him.

Not saying Powell deserves the job, but I can't really reply to this using just words - so here are come exclamation marks: !!!!!!!!!!

Gone down in your estimations for showing passion? I really hope you've never been on, or will never be on an interview panel.

Think you read it wrong fella. I am sure he would love the job, but his reaction was one of shock, mixed with pride and delight and not a hint of desperation.
