Highgate
Was never that good a footballer even when he was in his prime. His frequent common thuggery elevated his reputation beyond what his football talent deserved and he became high profile. He is 34 now and is still a bad influence wherever he goes. I wouldn't take him on a free, even if he offered to play for free.

No. I'll stop short of calling the man names but suffice to say he's a hypocrite and obsessed with throwing his weight and opinions about on social media without trying to do anything about these 'issues' he's so passionate about apparently. I don't like him one bit.Horrible man. That usually doesn't seem to matter to many football fans though. You could get a superstar striker popping into a McDonalds and opening fire with a sub machine gun bloodthirstily slaughtering many innocent diners and a week later fans clamouring for him to be given another chance because 'he scores goals'. I've no doubt Barton could do a job for us but the bloke is a charlatan. No

Sexydadbod
Absolutely, I wanted him before he went to Burnley and I still would like him now. He is the type of leader we need in the middle of the park. He may come across as a bit of a prat sometimes but he is an intelligent footballer. SKRam
About to meet up with my bro and some friends for some well deserved ale (had a pint of Brian Clough on Wed, Castle Rock brewery), many of whom are Man City. I'll gauge their opinion on him. I thought of this as a thread this morning, Talk Sport interviewed him. Like so many 'incidents' in football sounds like it's pretty trivial stuff given the hype so entwined in football hear days. If they sacked him and he was a free agent he could be signed by a club? Is that correct?!!
Ramdale
Don't understand people who say Barton wouldn't be a good signing. He was the most influential player in this league last year and took a team up playing 442. Burnley fans rave about him. I don't doubt he can be trouble, but under the right guidance he is a leader and a winner. Something this current team lacks big time. Would be an upgrade on Bryson
SKRam
These days not hear. Not even had a drink yet... I would actually take him. He's a total muppet when he's opposition but I'd like to see him given a go

satty atwal
Yes definitely. An arse off the pitch, but a leader on it, exactly what we need, someone to beat some goals and form into these players. A 100% yes.

What he is now is not what he was. Just think he is the type of character that needs the right environment, coach and role. He hasn't lost it as it is only 4 months ago he was bossing the championship. seriously think his role here would be perfect for him. Exactly what we need in my opinion. Bryson and Hughes in a 2 will never work consistently. Really like both individually but Bryson way more suited to a 3 man midfield.

VulcanRam
I'd take him on a short term deal just to give the place the kick up the backside it so desperately needs.
