davenportram
Found his level, I think. Yep playing very well in a team that is challenging for promotion to the championship. Could very well be back in the championship next season.

Day
Can he still stay on loan with us for the play offs as you can't loan a free agent
nfb
With 2 games left it might be interesting to see what happens, methinks we might do a short term deal like with kalifa Cisse.... I guess it depends what Steve thinks his future holds as a player with us, if we go up, maybe nothing, if we stay in the Champs he may stay ? Tis a conundrum
duncanjwitham
I suspect he hasn't been released as such, he'll have been formally told his contract won't be renewed when it expires at the end of June. So as far as I know, he'll still be registered with Leicester until then, and hence still on loan with us.
Ambitious
He could be a good signing for somebody. Not us. I think he started well when he came here, so maybe I'm being too harsh. The lack of match fitness really showed against Leeds though, he looked a liability.
McRamFan
DERBY County loan defender Zak Whitbread is to be released by Leicester City. Whitbread's contract is up next month and the Foxes have confirmed they will not be offering him a new deal. The centre-back is on loan with the Rams until the end of the season and was an unused substitute in Thursday night's Championship play-off semi-final first leg at Brighton. Among those also released by Leicester are midfielder Neil Danns, who is joining Bolton Wanderers, and defender Sean St Ledger. Leicester Ram
If we're in the Championship next year, I'd be happy to see him sign as cover/competition. He looked solid when he first came, played well against Leeds (H) but when I last saw him (Leeds A) he looked pretty shaky.
Ambitious
St Ledger on his day can be a good defender. I know he hasn't played much for Leicester recently, but when I saw him for Ireland - he looked a class act. Kept Keogh out the team too.

admira
DERBY County have agreed one-year deals with defenders Zak Whitbread and Lee Naylor. Whitbread is a free agent after being released by Leicester City at the end of last season. The 30-year-old made four appearances while on loan at Derby last season and was seen as cover for the central defensive pairing of Richard Keogh and Jake Buxton. Naylor, also a free agent, joined the Rams on a short-term deal in February as cover for left-back Craig Forsyth. Naylor, 34, was used four times as a substitute. Both players are expected to start pre-season training today. The squad will undergo fitness testing at the University of Derby over the next two days.
