Done mate. Set up monthly as well. Seen a I spend a good part of my day here lurking and or making useless points it’s the least I can do.

Thanks as always for your great work and absolute patience with the shower going on at the moment.

    Serious question...
I'm guessing you wouldn't be prepared to discuss running costs on here?
I really wouldn't have a clue on that sort of thing, and it's just that I've been donating a small DD these past few months, but I honestly haven't got a clue whether it is a relative pittance not worthy of the name "donation".
I guess it would be nice to hear you "are doing ok", as things stand. It would certainly be nice to hear that the forum is not under threat, financially.  I'd hate to think it's all a struggle for you, and we all need to up our game, donations-wise?
Anyway... here's hoping.  Keep up the great work.  ?

We had an advertising contract with the club, sending monthly invoices for RamsTV, Megastore and Matchday Ticket banner ads to be displayed on the forum.
The money that is owed is over several unpaid invoices back dating back to the summer.
I terminated the contract when the club went into administration and are solely funded now by Google ads and donations.

I went to the Ipswich game where Martin scored the winner. Thought promotion was pretty much nailed on after that. Turned out to be Eustace’s last game (I think?), and the wheels duly fell off one by one.

Brings a tear to my eye watching this and I wasn't even around. What a time to be a Ram!
Hard to believe we'll get back to that sort of level again, but football's 'a funny old game'. If Leicester can do it…

Yes. I did think that. I was careful not to say sympathy. His wages are good. But remember. He’s a footballer: his career is limited to somewhere mid 30s and then he has to find something else completely to pay the bills. He has to earn heavily now to compensate for that potential fall in salary. He’s earning pretty poorly for a footballer of his ability. I don’t have sympathy, but if I were him I’d be playing my heart out now, proving I can see out a season and on the lookout for a bigger salary and a longer contract at the end of the season….…. and if he can do that at Derby  or elsewhere then good luck to him … and great for Derby if he can play to his obvious standard for the time being.

Ravel Morrison had now played 15 games this season. That’s more than he’s played for 7 of the last 8 seasons. He’s also now regularly playing for Jamaica. He’s paid more than likely a fraction of what he used to earn and he’s playing for a national team that has no fans and not a huge chance of qualifying for the World Cup…

… and yet he’s playing and trying and showing a positive attitude.

I think we probably don’t give this guy enough credit. Sure it can be frustrating when he goes backwards when he should go forwards. But frankly, in my view at least he’s the classiest player we have and I for one really hope he gets a few goals and continues to prove the doubters wrong.
Plus a tip fo the hat for Rooney who so far has proved he can manage him.
Come on ravel! Get a goal or two for us on Sunday!!

It’s been an interesting week.  Our club has had a few sliding doors moments in the past (Sir Brian leaving, Charlie George’s shoulder, Zamora, etc) but looking back how important were the injuries to John Eustace and Chris Martin in 2014/15?  Without those we would arguably have achieved automatic promotion, Mel would have bought a PL team, no FFP issues even if we’d have come down.
Even Thorne’s injury against Ipswich on the last day of the following season.  Again, without that the big spending may have paid off.
Instead we’re staring at League 1 - which could turn out to be a good thing in the long run although it might not feel like it now.
Life’s all about fine margins.  In years to come we’ll have sliding doors moments that go in our favour.

    Two points:
Villa overspent and finished 5th, where is their court summons?
How can he prove that, if we had crafted a more frugal team of grafters and experienced pros and kept within budgets, we would not have performed as well as we did.
Recent history shows we are no good with expensive names, but play well with less fashionable hard workers!

I'm going to sue Bobby Madley thus,
    1. On the 1st March 2014, in the 43rd minute of the Championship match between Burnley and Derby County, Mr. Bobby "Atwell my arse, watch this for a game of soldiers" Madley, did wilfully and maliciously refuse to award a blatant penalty to the aforementioned Derby County FC.
    2. Furthermore, Mr Madley then wilfully and maliciously ruled out a perfectly good goal from the same passage of play that was beautifully stroked home by Jeff "I'll take you all on outside Revolution Bar" Hendrick.
    3. Mr. Madley then proceeded to award a yellow card to Christopher "Wardrobe" Martin for diving, adding to the previously awarded yellow for being a wardrobe on a football pitch without prior consent.
    4. Mr. Madley acted with pre-meditation to deprive Derby County FC of taking the momentum from Burnley FC in this promotion battle. It is obvious to all that Derby would have gone on to beat Burnley due to the well established law of "get in to them once you are on the up and they are on the back foot grovelling", which is firmly established as football lore.

I demand damages of £250, due to Mr. Madley's actions stopping us finishing in the automatic promotion place, which is the approximate cost of me travelling down to that there London for a weekend of liver damaging drinking culminating in losing to an ageing QPR side that had broken the FFP rules to a level that Melvin Morris could only dream of.
Oh, and £5b which we would now be worth if we'd of gone up with that team.

    Dear Mr Gibson.
    Thank you for your claim.
We are sorry you didn't get promoted. Neither did we.

Please Send your bill to the other Stevie G, now newly installed as manager of Aston Villa.
We will add it to the rather larger sum we  are requesting from them, and see what they say.

Unfortunately you will not be eligible to partcipate in our claim against QPR but you could try a sponging off a few other big spending clubs like , er Middlesbro.. oh no that's you isnt it? .

Think it's done now to be honest. No point rehashing it now our fate is sealed. Most will want to move on I suspect. God knows it's been a grim 2 years for all sorts of reasons and dwelling on this won't be an uplifting experience for anyone. That said, I think most Rams fans are pretty resilient creatures and will dust themselves down, lift their heads and get on with supporting the club, least I hope so! There will be better times ahead and while we may not storm L1, I'd hope we'd win more than we'd lose. There'll be some fun days for sure ?

Do you know, I find this thread a refreshing tonic from all the shenanigans the club finds itself in currently so thank you for your contributions. ?
Now, maybe rules wouldn’t allow in those days but wouldn’t it have been simpler for Millwall to use their away kit that day and us to play in our black and white ?
Also, didn’t a similar thing happen elsewhere where we had to use another team’s kit ? I’m wracking my brain here because I’m sure I’ve seen a photo of us in another kit but I just can’t think of the match.
Edit...I’m thinking Archie Gemmill photographed playing for us but in another club’s kit. ?
