Reviewing this & can’t believe Port Vale Away didn’t make top 3. I’d settled for a 0-1 at about 84 minutes. 93rd minute I’m in a Derby Counth scrum - fans, players & coaching staff and Jason Knight is screaming in my face”. He screamed in my face for the next 3 hours when I was driving home and at Clay Cross got the camera flash for doing 36 in a 30 zone - 1am in the morning. £100 fine. Worth it? Hell yes. 😏

This would make a good badge for Boro, the Boro burglars has quite a ring to it 😂😂

    1. Driving up to Bradford for the first friendly; my hubby was umpiring but I couldn't miss being there to clap out our team, our club, we still had a club! ⚽️🐏
Massive support that day, we couldn't quite believe we were watching football again. I remember Didzy gave away the ball for about ten minutes, then didn't give it away again after that. NML looking fit and confident. Little Oduroh,  looked like he'd wandered over from the under 16s game, but showed great skill against men twice his size. Rosenior, so pleased to be given his chance and very appreciative of the fans' support.
    2. So many new grounds to visit, such contrasts between the welcome of some clubs and downright hostility of others. Thank you Exeter, Port Vale, Morecambe, Accrington.
Least said about Wycombe, Lincoln, Bristol Rovers the better!
    3. Just the people I share awaydays with, we're a band of brothers and sisters who have travelled many miles, laughed and cried over the performances but always been there again next week. Some I know well, others are just familiar faces, but we smile and nod to each other as we know we have walked the walk together this season. Long may it continue.

"Living in la la land" and "remarkable ability to ignore facts" - so humbled and grateful you agree EFL seemed too weak dealing with Boro and Wycombe. I am truly honoured and my life is now complete

99-3 at lunch, good fightback from the bowlers, Chappell with a couple of wickets.

You can't support Derby mate.  The other week you had history with Man Utd and couldn't bear them beating Forest.  Now your defending what clearly was never a penalty.

My parents never had a car and so in the 1960's my grandpa and nanna would take us all to Milford on Cannock Chase on fine Sunday afternoons. Nanna would pack a picnic and when we got there the windbreak would be put up, rugs spread on the ground, the tennis rackets from the boot. We would go for a walk with Petra our dog whilst the ladies sat on the rug and chatted. My sister and I would play 'The Man fron U.N.C.L.E.' rolling around in the bracken, or we would be horses galloping along the grassy paths! Picnic was always salad, salmon, cake, bread and butter and it was always delicious. We would walk over to the ice cream shop and all have a Mr. Whippy with flakes. We would listen to the Sunday chart countdown on the transitor radio. We would come back via Blithfield reservoir. The Adams singers would be singing 'Sing Something Simple' on the radio which I disliked at the time but now I find those old songs so evocative. Grandpa drove a ford Anglia, registration VOP 98. It was a small car. Nanna and grandpa in the front and my mum, dad my sister and me in the back with the dog. Grandpa was a chain smoker and we couldn't have the window open because of Nanna's stiff neck. The roof of the car was yellowed with nicotine. I was frequently car sick!! Nevertheless I miss those times and I am so grateful to my grandparents for those wonderful sunny Sunday afternoons and picnics. They were an essential part of my childhood and how I miss it all.
