i think rooney has gotten a huge raw deal from supporters, people dont understand the difficulty of the job he has. 
bluntly put he has a piss poor first team squad, and managed to keep us up last season and we have had an excellent start. just a shame it has been threw back in his face by that so called owner of the club.

it reminds me of the newcastle situation, really steve bruce is doing the exact same job as rafa benitez did yet one is hated and one is loved. I feel like if a more popular name amongst supporters would be in the managers seat we would all be praising him every week working under difficult circumstances.

The results last season weren't special but he inherited a poor situation and people would have snatched your hands off if we had stayed up on the last game of the season like we did. it has never been easy for rooney and for me he has done everything asked of him and more.
i am not sure the cocu comparison is fair because even in a short term the job has become much more difficult. they were very different jobs

how can anybody give it higher than 1. you couldnt have imagined it end any worse than it has turned out. he has burned this once great club to ground

He kept us up after inheriting a team that was bottom, and this season he has got us competing with a side that is respectfully shambolic. Our team on paper last year should have gone down, the team this year is much much worse and he is getting us points on the board.

The thing i dont understand is why do people keep defending mel? He has absolutely gutted this club.
i work for a national company so most of my work mates are fans of different clubs, all of them are baffled as to why Derby fans arent protesting against the owner and I tend to agree with them.
i ask the question if mel was from italy and had no connection to the club would he be seen as completely different? i think we are blinded by the fan thing - he is dragging the club in the dirt and seemingly gets a free pass. you just look at the whole fan meeting thing last month, it is a damn disgrace
