It was really beautifull to see the reaction of the crowd to that. watched the away fans. Every one of them was clapping - well done to them. Up The Boro. On this occasion only …

I have seen all the games live and yes you are missing something, much more positive this season especially Hull away.

If you were able to go to one of the games you might have noticed a difference. Some of us are lucky enough to have done so. You’re picking holes in something that you haven’t experienced. You do not have an obligation to post on here and be positive but likewise you do not have a responsibility to manage expectations. Some of us have been around long enough to embrace any positive no matter how little or ephemeral it may prove to be.

1 defeat in 5…and out of the 4 in the league 2 are above us, 2 below, I would say It is the very definition of a “solid” start.

It’s too soon to say. The season is four games old and let’s be honest, the spirit of this team hasn’t really been tested.
I could understand posts like this if we had started the season on -6 points and whittled it down.
But as it is, I feel the praise for Rooney and the players is slightly premature. Let’s face it, if we were to lose against Forest, people would suddenly and surely look upon our start to the season much less favourably.
In 10-15 games, let’s see where we are and how we have fared and whether Rooney and the players have stood up to the challenge.
Two home draws and one win from four games is not really a great indicator of that, especially considering we have only faced one team who would be looking up the table instead of down.

I've got to say that the both the players & the fans have had an excuse to just hide and feel sorry for themselves this season
But they haven't done that. The teams performance on Saturday was definitely not that of a team who have given up, I was really impressed with how they kept their shape and stood up to a barrage of 'Warnock' football - and were able to look very able in attack at times.
None of the starting eleven went missing and that's got to be seen as a positive for Wayne Rooney - there's no sign of anybody just taking their paycheck like in recent years. I don't think we have anyone in the squad who could be described in that way.
And the fans played their part too. 14,000 Derby fans made as much noise as 14,000 in the BBG - fantastic
For the missing fans that haven't been to a game this season, we want you back but please play your part to support the team - it must help the players so much

I’m not one to question anyone else’s markings, of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion….. but how anyone can mark Sibley higher than Bird, Jozwiak and Shinnie on Saturday is beyond me ?‍♂️?‍♂️

Not incredibly generous marks for a strong 1st half display and a battling 2nd half against a strong, 'professional' Colin team.
    Roos 7.5
    Byrne 6.5
    Forsyth 6.5
    Jagielka 8
    Davies 7.5

    Watson (optional) 6

Of course that's exactly what CKR did at Peterborough. 7 of the 11 minutes added on were for his injury. We let two goals in during that time. If he'd stayed put we might have got the draw!

Some tough decisions if we want to rest our first 11 as we haven't got anyone at RB, CB, or the 3 AM roles right now. We're at the point where we may as well play some of the U23s as we're either getting out of embargo and playing them doesn't matter, or we're stuck in embargo and can't sign anyone anyway.
I'm assuming we won't rush Ebosele, Lawrence or McDonald into the side so all miss out.

After a hard game against Colin at his most irritating, next up is an interesting trip to Sheff utd. After relegation they've not really looked the force they were when they were on the up. Given it's the league cup, exect both sides to make quite a few changes - which from a Derby point of view is relevant because these are the players who are going to be in the league matches if anyone goes down injured.
There's no reason to expect a win or fear defeat - it's a cup game and they exist to just throw things around in a mixture and see what game you get on the day.

Its been great getting back to our seats .
Bit like sticking your head above the trench, though, as you nervously glance around. Great delight and smiles all round as you see for the first time in months and months your fellow positive supporting rams fans. Inner groans and disappointment when you realise some of the moaners and foul mouthers have renewed !

Ref also had a real shocker
But to be fair, it may not have been his fault. It appears refs have been given new guidelines to ‘allow the game to flow’.  Klopp and Solksjaer are going mad about it already
Strangely enough, the dirtiest, most physical teams with a mean streak running right through them ( put there by their manager) are immediately taking advantage .  As we saw yesterday. Would you believe Warnock actually praised the ref for having a good game. If anything sums up the shambles the refs are in, that does !  Likewise the anti-football attitude Warnock has to the game in general.
Its maybe sad to say, but the moment he calls it a day will be a good one for football

I'm glad to get back to normality  but I will still do everything I can do to protect my 90 year old mum who I care for and my father-in-law who had a second operation in April for lung cancer. I am enjoying freedom with lots of walks and picnics but because of the above scenario I am hesitant to mingle in crowds, even if outdoors.

A fair few aren’t in their old seats quiet in my neck of the woods … It will change.

I reckon we have the holiday dip, plus the nervous for health reasons, plus the worriers over laying out money when we are seemingly in difficulty financially. Then we have those who are just out of the habit, the annual “shall / I shan’t I renew” Then those, like me who didn’t realise how easy it was to claim your old seat back .. so The 16/18 K I can easily see getting to low 20’s as the weeks pass. If we get some results we will be at low/mid 20’s pretty soon. After that it’s the 5k who come when times are good and the footy is sexy .. ‘‘twas always thus” I think. Just a slow start considering what has happened to the world in the last 18 months. Hey and consider that there is a 18 months worth of children who haven’t been “baptised” by mums, dads granddads and grannies
All will be well and with the south stand on their game it can only get better.

One thing that really struck me yesterday, and I have no idea what it means, is that very few people around us in the East Stand left before full time.
Previously, there would generally be a big rush out by a fair few people starting on precisely 80 minutes ( ie generally a good 15 minutes before the end….?) . Their right, no problem, but blocking everyones views at what is often the critical time in the game .
Yesterday no-one was leaving on 80 minutes, and very few before full time.
As I say, I have no science behind what this means, but it does seem an interesting coincidence that we have a great atmosphere the whole game long, we have the vast, vast majority backing the team and players and we have very few people leaving early, when we get down to a core attendance of around 16000.
Could be a complete coincidence and my thinking is utter balderdash of course !!
