I’m not too down. It’s a pity but in reality we were short of pace, power and finishing up front, short on numbers in general and short in wide defensive positions. Small squad with a few quality players. Nearly made it and they all worked their socks off. I just hope we can keep Cashin, Knight and Wildsmith. Pretty sure Didsy will stay for an Indian summer because of the locality and he’s clearly enjoyed himself. To those not liking the football, truth is there isn’t a Warneball yet. There were games where we played long and ugly - and looked lousy at it. There were also games where we did tippy tappy and looked more than respectable. We have in all those games looked hungry which you need if you want to succeed. 
Ack .. you know what, I am looking forward to pre season, transfer chatter and planning for the next phase of our recovery. 
 
If we look at the hand of cards we had 12 months ago I’d say we played them as well as could be expected. I am not quite as edgy about players being nicked for rock bottom prices because the market and the game has changed since Covid. Unless a prem or parachute club wants someone I don’t think there is as much money around as folk think. 
 
I guess all will be revealed in the fullness of time. COYR

Fine margins? You sure it isn’t something more to do with the 2 wins in 15 games against top half sides under Paul Warne?
There is a reason why our form against the better sides in this league under Warne is pathetic.
You can’t claim fine margins over 15 games.

I do think Barnsley will rest a couple of players ready for their play off matches.
We need to get something from the Wendies game. A win would be most welcome. And that would be a confidence booster for the play off games against the Wendies.

Horrible feeling Peterborough will win. Barnsley will rest lots of key players in prep for the PO's.

For me if we are in league 1 next season I would love us to emulate Ipswich who have lost only 4 games this season.
And go up in the autos next season.

Except maybe Rotherham.

It's unbearable lisstening to this Darren guy on Radio Derby. And why does the BBC employ people who know nothing? With Sheffield Wednesday losing at home to Exeter he claims this is a terrible result for us, when surely it's the best possible? It makes it almost impossible for Wednesday to get an automatic place, when the last thing we want is for them needing to win on the final day of the regular campaign.

I know. Our final games aren't any easier (I'd say Portsmouth at home is tougher that Bristol). That's why I say we need to overtake them tomorrow.

Not if the teams above us also win two.
It's not in our hands, we are relying on teams losing too.
Possibly 2 wins and a draw might do it- if Peterborough drop PTS on Saturday.
Bolton have a game in hand and better fixtures to play.
We haven't done too bad considering we have the least number of squad players in the division.
Although wouldn't like to play Wendies, Ipswich or Plymouth in the play offs. 

2 wins from the last 9 says it all really.
Not too sure many teams win the play offs when they are in relegation form?

Can’t say it wasn’t expected, seemed to be hanging on as if we had 10 men, not sure why Warne insists on 3-5-2 currently it’s clear we don’t have the players, NML at wing back has never worked and he hasn’t played well for weeks not even sure why he’s still picked, should be on the bench.
Thought Warne was going to go for games, didn’t do that today with 5 at the back in the second half.
