Enjoyed being back at Pride park today with my son and grandson. Thought the club handled the restrictions quite well and we got to walk over the bridge from Chad for the first time.

Foreveram reacted to StarterForTen in Has the transfer embargo been lifted?
The EFL's rule on the minimum strength of a playing squad even for a club under an embargo is there to protect the integrity of the competition. By including the players used for the Chorley game in calculating Derby's current squad strength they would be arguing against the very reason the rule was introduced in the first place.
If Derby had fielded the same team they did for the Chorley game for an end of season match with little consequence to the Rams (but possibly could effect other issues i the division) they would be done for fielding an under-strength team.

Foreveram reacted to BondJovi in Wayne Rooney
It is a mess. This is the third season running where our preparations have been completely disrupted by aspects outside of the managers control. If nothing else, that is more than enough punishment from the EFL.
I think we did well the previous season, but last season, everyone underperformed, from top to bottom. To make matters worse, the job done from external sources (the EFL) has also been rubbish.
This all leaves Rooney in the middle of potential disaster. What can he do? He was very lucky to get the job in the first place, he was lucky to keep his job (better performing managers have gone for far less). He is probably the manager most in need of support but he is getting none. These are not conditions to help a manager blossom. He doesn't have any previous performances to give him leverage. The only thing he has right now is that the club cannot afford to sack him. I am certain he believes he can be a success, yet I think he had an arrogance last season that let him down. I think Rooney knows his managerial career will not be tarnished with what happens here, I think it still remains a win win for him. If he makes something of this season he will deserve all the credit going.
We have to support him, we have to back him. I didn't want him, I thought he should have gone at the end of the season and I have minimal enthusiasm for this season. But right now, based on pure blind faith, I hope he aces it. Until any kind of takeover happens, this is what we have. Though I fear things could get nasty if we don't make a good start.

My pet hate resurfaces. Sibbo (currently playing on the right) nicks the ball and wins a freekick 10 yards inside the opposition half. It's a decent attacking opportunity with 5 minutes to go. Instead of attacking, the freekick is passed backwards 30 yards and we end up losing the ball. It makes you want to bang your head against a wall.

Crikey, someone got out of bed the wrong side today.
My view is:
I agree it was an odd decision but, let's judge his leadership abilities once he's had the the chance to prove them. I'm not convinced be will but, I'll give him the chance. As for being a smack in the face of fans, well that's just bizarre. It is really that important to you that you feel so offended?
With regard the drink driving incident, obviously none of us have forgotten it but we have to move on. It can't be a millstone around his neck for ever.
Are you really still outstanding a refund from the club? If so, fair enough you should have received it by now.
Regarding today's game, I get the impression that you think you should be allowed to watch it for free. This has been discussed at length on the appropriate thread (I don't know why you've brought it up on this one). Whilst the prices to attend are a bit steep, I really don't have a problem with the club charging to attend or view online. Take it or leave it.
I'm not exactly sure what a Shinnie type owner is or where we'd find one. We can only consider offers from those making them

Well to Derby players go and take the game to man utd try and to play attacking football this is your chance to throw marker and message to rest of the league that we are not going no wear and message to efl and that banker gibson that tried his Damnist to destroy but guess what we are Derby county and we are fighters and we shall stick togather and what ever numbers I am calling all Derby fans to make as much noise as possible.

Cricket off for Covid reasons, so bought my tickets this morning. Very straightforward.
I am looking forward to giving CKR a round of applause as it will be the first time he's played in front of Derby fans. Well, looking forward to seeing them all for the first time in yonks, really.
