Stearman is rb cover Buchanan lb cover and also he’ll be far more likely to come on on the wing than Williams. If Stretton was fit he’d have started and was clearly struggling Tuesday. Watson is a Bird replacement and nothing else In my eye….unconvincing several times now further forward.
If we’re winning Buchanan is a great wide replacement for Joz or Sibs but if we’re losing and any of the front 4 are injured it’s a complete reshuffle.

Very surprised to see 4 defenders, three of which are full backs on the bench!! Kornell was clearly not fully fit Tuesday so surely another game last night for the 23s would’ve done him more good?
I don’t see the logic if I’m honest.
Stretton obviously not fully fit or surely he’d start meaning Watson is the only other player who can play an attacking and he’s really not shown he can do that role yet when I’ve seen him…much more convincing when playing deeper.
Harsh on Hutchinson and Brown who I personally felt did well midweek.

Was there tonight at the match in the main stand and got a really good view of the game overall. Good performance, but disappointing result. Well deserved 1:0 lead at half-time and it could have easily been 2:0. Derby in control with Hutchinson bossing it in midfield. Had a really good half and looks like a bright prospect for the future. Unlike what was to follow in the second half, we also looked solid defensively. Sibley looked sharp and took his goal really well.
Second-half, conceded a cheap equalizer early doors through poor marking. After that, we reacted well and looked the most likely team to score with Stretton unlucky not to add to his goal tally. Then there was THAT winning goal for the Blades. A complete and utter gift. How come we always gift opponents these type of goals but never get gifts from them? 
Big up to the travelling Rams fans who were fantastic.

I’d be shocked if any of the players are getting ‘pinged’. I doubt there’s a club in land that hasnt ‘encouraged’ all their players to delete any kind of app that pings them for Covid!!

Some incredibly generous marks tonight….I’d lay good money on them being far more harsh had they sneaked a goal for a 1-0 loss…

At the top end of the pitch we were blunter than a blunt knife in a bluntsville shop selling blunt things.

The 8 players comment really annoyed me. All that does is pushes the youngsters down the pecking order. Is he saying that Hutchinson, Watson, Sibley, festy, Kornell even bird and Buchanan aren’t good enough? As a fan and Simone who wants the youngsters to thrive and have opportunities I’m sorry, I simply don’t want eight new signings.
Just my view.

I'll have you know I've Derby County as the champions on at least one version of Football Manager such is my prowess. ?
In all seriousness this was mostly about getting things out of my head and I have fun writing and thinking about these things from time to time. If you think I'm overcomplicating it, far enough. I feel like this stuff is there but I completely get people not being into it.

I’m not sure about left wing but again all these discussions have to understand how WR wants us to play….so he’s definitely not a ‘winger’ in the traditional sense, but he clearly wants to roll inside and allow full backs to get outside him and rotate with the other 2 att mids.
Him and Sibley both like to get into the 10 position and beyond the forward and I think eventually they could work well together.
