I would be really sorry to lose Dixon.
I think he is potentially a better player than Liam Thompson (and he’s done brilliantly).

    Just love this.
From that night's squad Cashin, Sibley, Knight, Buchanan, Thompson and Bird ? regular starters for us, Whittaker and Jordan Brown forging decent careers elsewhere in the EFL.
Tyree Wilson (still with us) and Archie Brown plagued by injury.
Alex Matthews now starting for under 23s.
It's a tremendous return, really and our academy has been  a shining light and beacon of hope for our future through these tough times.
Take a bow, Justin Walker! ???

A right load on nonsense being posted about CK having a night out. So what - hadn't he been up until 3am on Thursday or Friday night in discussions with Rooney and maybe felt it was time to chill out.
    Big deal!

Amazing that the other 110ish professional football clubs in England and Wales managed to come through Covid without calling in the administrators though.
The pertinent question is why did Mel Morris stop putting money in? Until we know the answer, we won't know how much vilification Mel deserves. IMO, if he was physically and economicly able to avoid administration, then he deserves our scorn. If he wasn't, he probably deserves our sympathy.

The 88/89 team was brilliant.. With a few more players that team was going places. In 89/90 they started well then but there was little investment in the team. Goddard left to go to Millwall. That was the catalyst. Mick Harford joined and the end of the season was awful, just had enough points to stay up. The lack of new players continued in to 90/91 and then relegation..

All the very best for the coming season and beyond.I hope Rooney sticks by you with a decent owner on board he has a good a chance as anybody to get you back up.Your fans have been superb through this crap period.Things can change very quick in football and sometimes for the better, look at us in the so called best league in the world the Premier league for another season.Although my opinion of  the PL ( I’ve missed 2 games this season )is it’s the fatal attraction of clubs who risk everything to get to the tv cash when for us fans it’s a bland predictable bore fest unless you are a top 4 club the rest just make up the numbers.I won’t shed a tear when we eventually get back to the championship a far better and more competitive league to play in.Hope to be playing you at Pride Park again soon.

I've been following this topic and not really posting so forgive me if this has already been raised..
When bolton came out of admin in 2019 they had 2 years to clear their debt at 25p in the £1 so as to avoid a 15 point deduction. (see link)
I've not seen or heard anything like this for Derby's situation, it just seems like debt needs clearing now to avoid the 15 point penalty.. Anybody know why this is so?
Or is it simply because most of Derby's debt is football creditor and hmrc so needs paying now?

My friend has not long left of his life, He has terminal cancer and has maybe only weeks to live.  He had his first season ticket when he came out of the army in the mid fifties, and has had it every season since, and then when he married in 1963 his wife had one too, they never missed a home match, but then covid came along and they have not been again. We have a mutual friend who lives in the USA he is in the UK this week end and is taking my friend to what is likely to be his last match ever. I'm just hoping if there are any protests it wont affect the match. So please spare a thought or a prayer if your so minded on Saturday. I wont say his name as he hated social media as much as he loved the Rams. So UP THE RAMS  P will be thinking of you.

Time to try and get a bit of balance in the midfield and attackers who will stretch the opposition.
May we’ll be to little to late, but we really need to be picking a starting line up to win right up till the end.

If anyone had said before the season started, you’re going into administration, then lose -21 points, I mean 21 POINTS, half your senior pro’s and however many kids just to survive BUT be within 5 points of safety with 10 games left.....
Of course, it’s still on,........we’re Derby County and we fight until the end ?

Morning Rams, A Hatter in peace here. First of all, may I say how the majority of you have handled the points deduction has been great to see. I can assure you that us Hatters know what it's like to have been screwed over by the EFL and the FA. I must admit I'm a bit concerned today that our run will come to an end and you will grab the three points. Great to see Curtis Davies is still so loved at Derby. He was an exceptional young player when he was with us and im Glad he continues to do well. All the best in your fight against the so called authorities and with the exception of today all the best for the season.

Hey all, our new podcast is out now:

Is the nightmare finally coming to an end? A key breakthrough off the pitch means Derby County may survive beyond the season - and the Rams are still hanging in there on the pitch too. Chris, Richard and Anton look back on a damaging, but not dispiriting defeat at Middlesbrough, assess Festy Ebosele's game and how he may need to adapt as one of the Championship's quickest players, and wonder - what is the magic points total which would see Derby County survive?

This saga is so infuriating, absolute shambles. A football debt is like any other debt surely? Non payment of an amount owed for services provided, whether that be £3.50 for a pint, £200k for a house or £8m outstanding for Beilik. You enter into a contract whether written or verbal for goods or services provided I.e. a legitimate debt if not paid. The amount owed is clearly defined. If one party is claiming they might have made X if Y had / had not happened then it’s a claim for “projected loss of damages” no? So, how the hell does a claim for damages or compensation become defined as a debt?

Surely it has to be agreed by both parties that services or goods have been provided without payment? And the value had to have been agreed upon. A debt is transactional. No transaction has taken place. A claim. For loss of earnings has been made essentially. But not a cut and dry loss of earnings in the sense of “I’m going to make £2k this week but I didn’t because I was in a car accident  that was someone else's fault and if they hadn’t hit me I was guaranteed to make £2k”But, in the sense of, “if I wasn’t in a car accident, I might have made £2k, or I might have made £4m or I might have not made anything.”

This whole thing is an absolute farce. The governing body that sets the rules by which we operate has set the penalty as minus 9 points plus 12 for entering administration. So by the logic of allowing the claims by Middlesborough and Wycombe they’re essentially saying, anyone affected by our actions can make a claim for compensation against us regardless of that fact that they as the governing body, have already decided on the offence and set the punishment.
Meanwhile, instead of standing up and leading and helping to find a pragmatic solution or trying to mediate, they pass the buck back to all the parties in disagreement and say “you sort it out”
    Absolute flipping nonsense

its nearly 3 o clock in the morning and the same things keep going round and round in my head....how on earth is this going to be sorted??? After the EFL statement last night I really think we are now basically being backed into a corner to try and negotiate a deal against two parasite chairman and only 7m is the supposed figure that will make them happy!!?
Where on earth has any compensation   figures been calculated from ? Its a farce why not make it 100 million ? 200 million?
These claims must not be entertained or even considered and why?? For the sake of the very game we fans love...Football....
The EFL should be protecting the game and its clubs but it is corrupt as hell and has zero interest in looking after the game itself....If those claims from parasite clubs is given any creedance Football is ducked!
Every club could sue another club for any misdemeanors or so called breaking of the rules and this cannot happen
On one hand the EFL are saying that the actual Insolvency law is not relevant as they have there own rules signed by 72 football clubs and saying we are hiding behind insolvency yet cannot quash or tell the parasites that we have been punished with a 21 point deduction
Gibson and Boro are the poison here make no mistake he threatened to sue the EFL then was apeased by the EFL saying they would go after us!!!! and he's right behind them pulling the strings no doubt!!
We are in admin FFS and the admin team are here to do there job and try and sort creditors but yet the EFL are saying we should meet and negotiate and deal with two other clubs!! Its none of there business who we owe money too yet Gibson seems to know all about our business who we owe how much etc etc .....I would tell the EFL that parasites like Gibson and WW bloke are not welcome at Derby County FC ...No negotiations and if we ever ( and its looking less and less likely ) get out of this mess both Chairman are banned from PP
We are a founder member Football club who have contributed a lot to the history of our game so stop treating us like poo on your shoe....30,000 fans on sunday and we are bottom....both tinpot parasite clubs on a good day wouldn't get that many fans with both attendances added together
I cannot see a way out but the hatred i feel for parasites like Gibson I've never felt for anyone to be honest.....a horrible little man who thinks sueing everyone is the way...this is what he also done to a team playing in the local church league because he said they had copied the boro team badge...bloke is total and utter disgrace and if all chairman were like him the game would soon cease to exist because so many would go out of business.....
GROW SOME BALLS EFL AND TELL BORO AND WW TO DROP THE CLAIMS OR THEY WILL HAVE POINTS DEDUCTED THEMSELVES!???? SAFEGUARD THE GAME ITSELF AND HELP CLUBS RATHER THAN HELP OTHERS WHO ARE DESTROYING OUR GAME!

    I’ve emailed…..
investigation into the EFL and it’s dealings with regard to DCFC :
    1. Efl approve the stadium sale then subsequently charge DCFC
    2. Efl approve amortisation method, sign off two years accounts then subsequently charge DCFC in response to MFC threats to sue EFL.
    3. MFC drop their threat to sue the EFL
    4. EFL lose case against DCFC. Nb accountant on the panel
    5. EFL appeal and appoint a new panel with no accountant.
    6. EFL win case
    7. DCFC have no right of appeal
    8. DCFC go into administration.
    9. Middlesbrough and Wycombe announce intention to claim against DCFC.
    20. Such “claims” prevent DCFC exiting admin.
    21. After 4 months of delaying the EFL finally decide the “claims” have to be settled by DCFC. Interesting this eventual decision, comes days after the transfer window has closed and maximum disruption to DCFC.
    22. How can an unsubstantiated “claim” by other clubs be deemed as a bona fide creditor, and a football creditor that takes precedence over other creditors even HMRC.
    23. EFL rules preclude claims between member clubs.
    24. As for the claims, if you look into the detail, you will see they are pure fantasy and clearly just a chance to make money, or more sinister and an attempt to actually put DCFC into liquidation. And apparently aided and abetted by the EFL
    Thank you for your time.
