eddielewis got a reaction from kash_a_ram_a_ding_dong in Paul Warne
I think we've seen enough Championship football to know that largely the teams that linger near the bottom has some form of football or financial instability. Just take this season for example, the bottom 13 teams have had a change in manager during this season, some with multiple changes. This idea of sacking Warne as soon as he's promoted the club just screams Chansiri.
The only goal should hopefully we get promoted will be to stay up and Warne more than deserves his shot and dare I say more than achievable when there's plenty of basketcase clubs in that league who will spend most of the summer in a manager recruitment rat race.

I like reading most of your posts, but your first paragraph today is really poor.
2 games to go and promotion in our hands and it still feels like so many of our 'supporters' have personal axes to grind.
Very sad times and I'm not sure some of our fans actually deserve the promotion that we may achieve.

The past few years European teams are realising how technically good the current generation of Japanese and Korean players are which has been a legacy of the 2002 world cup.
It's also a cheap market to get into. A lot of players usually go to Belgian, Austrian and Dutch teams on loan with a view to buy (£1 mil max) and see if they can handle playing abroad. These European teams can then cash in a year or so later for loads more what they paid.
Mitoma was the first signing by a English team that sort of bypassed Europe where they bought him for £4 mil loaned him to a Belgium club. If they let him get signed by a European team first he'd probably been worth £20 mil.
Cardiff did this in Jan signed a very good centre back Tsunoda and have loaned him out to Belgium.
If definitely a market we should look at.

Castore have bought the UK/Europe licence for Umbro recently so they can make money in football but not through their own brand.
They have had loads of problems since they've been making football kits from shirts ripping, missing badges even badges upside down!

Miyoshi seems to have begun to settle playing in England so I expect a big season from him next year. As a J League fan I remember him scoring this cracker to make it 2-1 against Gamba Osaka.

A very realistic signing if we go up and Birmingham go down would be Juninho Bacuna.
hes an amazing box to box central midfielder or a hard working winger and has 7 goals and 6 assists in 39 games for a struggling Birmingham side.
He’s only 26 so is coming into his prime years and his defensive numbers are just as impressive as his offensive. Wins lots of tackles and wins possession back high up the pitch.
aswell as that Koji Miyoshi would be a good option from Birmingham also if they were to go down. He is 27 and can play on either wing, he’s got 5 goals and 6 assists in 37 matches but only 24 starts. Another player who can play a variety of positions and roles.
His contract is also up in 2025 so wouldn’t be overly expensive.
With both players living in the area they could be easy to pick up as we’ve seen with so many of our current squad having come from other midlands clubs.

Love Puma stuff, best boots I ever wore.
Bought my first proper Puma Eusebio boots from ex Derby player Ken Oliver who worked downstairs in the boot bit in Field Sports on the corner of Albert Street and the Morledge.
………………….I bloody loved em! 👍😁

eddielewis reacted to YorkshireRam in Joe Wildsmith
Not sure 'should' is fair. The rules seem conditional on which phase of play contact first happens in. Because Wildsmith's first handled inside the area (a legal claim), that stops the 'promising attack'. Meaning his subsequent handling outside the area is a different phase which avoids the need for a card to be shown.
I think the ref handled it perfectly given it wasn't malicious and no real advantage was gained from our perspective.
