Just in from a phenomenal afternoon at pride park (had to drop the number 1 son back at Nottingham uni afterwards)
Almost had us in tears at the start of the game as the crowd was the loudest and proudest I've ever heard it and the players reacted to it as soon as they came down the tunnel...even they were in awe of the noise and the stoke fans were immediately shocked into silence.
Immensely proud of the team today who all fought like lions and of all of the fans who continued to be relentless in their support.
I love this club and I'll support it whatever is thrown at us and wherever we end up.

Been at the match and was so so proud of how everyone conducted themselves. The players are really playing for each other and putting bodies on the line for the cause, the manager got his tactics right and then there was the support. It was rocking at the end. Relief, joy, laughter was abound. We were all on the same wavelength today. The players, management and supporters are truly pulling out everything to keep this club in business. Long may it continue. Very very proud to be a Ram. This is what this city is to football. We need to stay afloat and the league needs our great club. From a very hoarse Ram! COYR.

Michael Dell's motto apparently is be crazy and don't seek too much advice.
Can see why he chose Morris as a partner. Fits right in.

My only hope on that front is with us in admin, likely to go down and with MM out they feel like they've got their pound of flesh.

If the EFL want a relegation place sorted in September it’s 21 points or more if they are remotely concerned with the integrity of the competition it will be 12 in total
Remember they openly stated that they want us relegated so you can make your mind up

The league wanted Morris out - the FFP penalty will be left I reckon as new owners shouldn’t be punished for mistakes of the old.

FFP punishment for me should only be applied if the owners who committed the offence will still be in ownership

You have as much idea as I have.  You could argue that this administration will galvanise the team even further.

Sheffield Wednesday were crap anyway. Contrast that with Wigan who put in a valiant effort when they were deducted points. They lost just 1 in 15 games at the end of the season. They were so close, a win on the final day would have done it.
We already know we're going to be deducted 12 and we weren't poo today. Just don't look at the table. It's 45 to survive.

Not to inform the manager is cowardly and contemptible. He didn’t even instruct his lacky to do the dirty work. I thought Morris was better than this, I really did. Wishing we had a shaking head emoji.

Think a lot of people are readjusting their views today. Can we confess in one safe place??
I kinda said all along Mel was spending unnecessarily and at inflated prices but that's not to say I was complaining.
However, got to hold my hands up and say Rooney has acted with a lot of class today. Said all the right things....for him to find out via Sky is an absolute disgrace.

Quick word for Ravel who was simply magic in the first healf playing 2 killer balls that should have ended in goals. He looked distraught when he came off wondering if his miss would be pivotal.
    Superb talent.
Chin up rav. Bang the winner in on Saturday at sheff.

Not sure if someone else has put this up but a bit of class from Michael O’Neill
“We had two really good chances before we did score, but I can't begrudge Derby the win, they've had a really difficult 24 hours.
"I thought they showed great spirit in how they played, the crowd were terrific as well."

It reminded me of why I am a rams fan and why I love having a season ticket and love going to the games.  It’s not the same watching it on the tele.Im from Derby. I’m a Derby fan.  I want to be part of something that is bigger than me, to belong to a collective experience. Today was it.  It was brilliant. I feel lucky that I witnessed it.

The actual football was pretty good too.

    What a day !

I was dreading protest and anger … there was none of it. There was Derby County Football Club. The team, the staff and the fans. Everyone gave  in a spirit to warm the most cynical  heart.

Rooney has been much maligned in some quarters. Talk of tactical naivety, only here for whatever reason but ..guess what.. the biggest part of a managers job is to get players to play for him … He’s done it, more than anyone in recent times Mac apart, despite being dealt a lousy hand.
Curtiss Davies .. We are so lucky to have such solid player with noble writ large through his whole persona. You’d walk through brick walls with a club captain like that. Talk about expressive, intelligent and articulate. (And he’s got a sense of humour) loved the interview … Curtis .. go and make babies and score some more !

Huge commitment from every player. Loud and proud fans take a bow.
Good game of football, we made space, shot freely (mostly) scored goals and worked for each other. Stoke got away with tackles that earned our lads yellow for similar efforts but the best team won .. no doubt at all.
Roos excellent again but MOM has to be Max .. playing further up the pitch where I like to see him, composed, good passing and a blinder of a goal .. loved it .. keeper was looking for him to play it wide, naaaa shift it to my right foot (looking in the wrong place sucker !  … Bang !

Everything else was what you want to see in a football game; some skill, some chances, some thundering tackles (Shinza .. it wasn’t a yellow )  some saves some misses (oh Ravell ? .. but you kept em guessing all afternoon so you’re allowed that one ) and real determination from your whole team along with 3 delicious points .. That’s 25% of the supposed deduction. Whether we go down or not we will be fighting all the way

What a fantastic result well done to players and supporters. Didn’t think we would get anything out of the last two games but brilliant effort from Wayne and the players. We know that we are getting at least twelve points deduction. But who knows what could happen. There’s still a lot of games to play until May. Never give up Derby.

Actually felt quite tearful before and after the match. Today was an extremely special day and something we should all remember for an extremely long time. The performance from the players was superb, first 10 minutes we looked very good and should have been in the lead. The next 15 20 mins we backed off, let them have the ball and could see us conceding. Then magic Bird happens and Stoke collapse like a house of cards by conceding a second minutes later.

Not sure how Ravel misses at the beginning of the second half but we dug in deep and worked so hard to get a well deserved 3 points. The atmosphere throughout was fantastic and we need to bring that every single game this season. Pride Park needs to become an absolute fortress that teams know they'll find it difficult to get anything from us if we're to go down swinging. #COYR

Tbf to rooney we need to rememeber hes a millionaire now but he comes from humble beginnings and what’s going to happen now to people around the club he may even have first hand experience of - so I’m not suprised at all by his compassion and wouldn’t be surprised if he does put words into action to support people. He will come out of all of this with rightly one of the people with the most credit.

Message to potential investors…just watch a video of today’s game and tell me you don’t want in. Amazing passion displayed by all Derby players and fans.??
P.S. Glad to see the stewards spotted Mel disguised as Santa and turfed him out of the ground.

The most amazingly wonderful afternoon out.
Commitment, aggression, a few bits of really tidy skill, ups, downs, a comedy ref, Jason Knight back....3 points and a big Stoke following sent crying back to their grim towns for an evening of poo beer, greasy chips, oatcakes and glue-sniffing.
I ducking LOVE this football club. duck administration, Mel, EFL, everything. We must survive, that's all. I don't care if it's Matlock Town away first game of next season, I WILL be there. Just please someone save this magic institution.

We've only conceded 7 goals this season. Bournemouth and Coventry have the best defensive record, having conceded 6. Given the circumstances and the impossible start to the season, that is astonishing. Yes you defend as a team, but Curtis is the beating heart of that defence.
