It's perfectly possible to simultaneously believe (as I do) that Mel Morris has run the club in a catastrophically awful way, that the EFL have handled their various interactions with us in a pathetically useless way, and that Maguire is an attention-seeking muppet that doesn't seem to know half as much as he thinks he does.

I get the annoyance, last time we were at wembley I saw plenty of people getting tickets that hadn't bothered with Derby in years and It did make me frustrated as i knew of genuine fans who missed out on the chance to go. But, I guess ultimately it's true of every club that when big events happen the fickle fans come out in their droves.

He is neither objective nor professional. The club's auditors and the Independent Panel (which included a qualified accountant) both confirmed that the club's amortisation policy was compliant with FRS 102. Maguire sought to make a name for himself by repeatedly pointing out that the policy was slightly different to that used by other clubs and inferring that we were cheating. The EFL saw this as an opportunity to get back at Mel Morris and took it to the Panel, only for us to be exonerated (save for a need to expand the notes in the accounts). Unwilling to lose face in this matter, the EFL appealed the decision (so much for the independent review process) and set up another panel with no accountants asked to rule on an accounting matter which then (unsurprisingly) found us guilty. It is this which infuriates most of our fans.
As for the stadium sale, this was a one-off opportunity to realise the increase in value of the stadium to ease the FFP situation. The valuation was professionally obtained, and both submitted to and adjusted in accordance with the stipulations of the EFL, before the transaction went ahead. Whether or not the transaction was in the best interests of the club is a moot point, but it was categorically NOT cheating. That has not stopped the media and the EFL trying to smear it as such. For the EFL to bring a disciplinary charge against the club for carrying out a transaction which they had not only sanctioned, but which had actually been adjusted in accordance with their stipulations, beggars belief and can only have been motivated by vindictiveness.
For all of their stated desire for fair play, we have seen precious little of it from the EFL so far. They have an opportunity to redeem themselves if they give the Administrators' appeal against the 12 point deduction a fair hearing. We shall see.

Any ball that goes into the box NEAR an attacking player is a good cross...nowt special about it, Allsop is the keeper it's his area, He should have got that ball all day long, Slight hesitency and he missed by inches, He knows he cocked up...as his actions when he crouched down when the ball enters the net...quite simply, HIS FAULT!
1st goal down to our defender being beaten at the near post...ball goes to the far post and scrambled in.
As for those who are screaming for either Roos or Marshall, Are they guarenteed not to make a mistake...that's a big NO!, I've said before on their day they're good keepers...but all have a mistake in them.
    Keep Allsop in goal...for now.

I watched SK Rapid Vienna Vs Lask around 4 years ago, Went for a hot dog at the ground and was told I had to purchse tickets from the ticket machine as cash was a no no, An Austrian next to me paid with the tickets he had and I paid him cash back.
It's a crafty way to make extra loot, If you're a little under or over the toatal amount then you have to purchse more tickets, With no change given, Having said that I gave the fella €10 for 2 hot dogs that were €7.50cents

Just watched their 2nd goal again. It’s such a crap attempt to come for the ball from Allsop. So half hearted and no conviction, like he fully expected to get to it without really trying. If he backed off to his goal line it would’ve been such an easy save cus there was zero pace on the header.  That’s the most annoying thing about last night, they didn’t have to work for either of their goals, and both were 100% avoidable ???

    Good post
On Brice Samba, Hughton said and did drop him towards the end of his tenure as he was costing the dogs goals, Now back as the number 1, Those who have played and watched football...being a keeper and the last line of defence is down to confidence, Have the confidence to come and collect the ball, Have the confidence in organising your defence, Knowing when or not to come for the ball, With us playing from the back there's been times when Allsops playing from the back has almost cost us, As it has with our other keepers, This is down to tactics of the Manager and his team, I swore a few times last night at the knife edge we were playing on.
I see Hamer is doing well at Swansea...strange game is football ?

I've looked at it, Allsop thinks he's got it, Player out jumps him, If your coming for the ball...then get it, Maybe better staying on his line and just catching when no opposition.

Think he’s our best player by a large distance to be honest.
Takes risks when he needs to, keeps it simple when he needs to. In fact I think the second goal came from him checking back and not playing a Hollywood ball.
