How's that a MK Dons FK? Their player ran straight in to Rooney

His decision making is stunningly good. With his feet as well as everything else. If he can reach it, he catches it. If he can’t he punches. If he has a man close and in space he lays it off. Positionally he seems superb. Some of the fine keepers we’ve had recently have been less than reliable. Allsop though did a good job but we have found his equal in Wildsmith.

the sheikh was fake (a lucky break)
Mike Ashley didn’t tender
and Appleby was short of cash (and didn’t want a lender)
The tweeting kirch fell off his perch,
Got sacked, oh what a muppet
(a close escape for derby, almost owned by Stretford’s puppet)
So thank the Lord for David C, the ram who flies a plane
The only problem is we don’t know how to say his name

We win plenty. There was a danger we’d get tonked tonight and that it would damage confidence. Danger averted. An evening to be proud

He's a very intelligent footballer so I like that. Great game management in this one. Reading the Liverpool forum they all really hated him, which means he did his job well. Taking his time on everything and his tactical injury. But also, as he said in his post-match interview, applauding the Kop, which they noted.

I can see why some Liverpool fans may be a little salty. I was stood at the back of the terrace to the right of the goal looking at the pitch. Somewhere to my right, a few of our “fans” were singing “always the victims…” and “it should have been more”. The inference was obvious to me. Embarrassing and totally out of order. Hope the stay away because the vast vast majority were excellent.

Fozzie was at his best according to Warne again. Hourihane has won us games but Dobbin had the chance to do something & fluffed it again.

The thing Rice does very well is win the ball back and play it simply to one of his team mates. And that's fine, you want somebody doing that. The problem is, we've spent most of the time playing him alongside Kalvin Phillips who by and large does the exact same thing, so you just end up with Rice and Phillips passing sideways to each other. One of those guys passing it to the likes of Mount and Bellingham would be much more effective IMO. But Southgate seems so worried about his centre halves making mistakes, that he seems to want to play an extra centre half and 2 sitters in front of them.

Yes, was my fear too but that will have done everyone a power of good, including Warne himself and his standing with the players. We drew in a hugely challenging football game. That we lost what is effectively the toss of coin, isn’t that important.
