He’s our best player. He’s showing his class in midfield, but is not yet at his best and Bird can do most of what he is doing. And we need another plan or we’ll end this season as we did last.

One option is as you say to play him more advanced with Lawrence (and Morrison?)  and have Bird Tommo and Knight play behind them.
Another option is to play to our defensive strengths, put him at CB with Bird ahead in a creative role. The plan there would be clean sheets and nicking one. Point is, if we improve at set pieces and if we have Morrison and Lawrence advanced, there’s a fair chance we’ll bag one.

The current plan is not working so we need to change it before it’s far too late.

    Nope.
The HMRC can do whatever they want. The Government has already said that HMRC will not be the reason that Derby goes into liquidation.

MM wrote to Gibbo saying: please sue me in the high court.  And the response from the north east was: don’t be daft our claim is against your club not the owner
MFC’s claim against DCFC was weak and it’s hard to see what claim they could make against MM himself

    Ok Fair enough.
Or to put it more accurately, he wants a sale so he can avoid losing any more money.

Not really - Tom took avoiding action from the body block which the defender played which could have resulted in injury. The only injustice was thst they had bern doing that to Derby players all match without any action from the ref - there were 3 on Ebiole in the opening 20 minutes. They obviously thought they could get away with it.

Looked at it again. Dabo was lucky because he missed the ball with his wild swipe but also missed Buchanan, but only just. Can’t complain. But Coventry could complain about the Lawrence pen !

Just listening to Rooney's Press Conference and the praise he has for the players - young and old.
I'm filled with anger at the current situation, frustration, but most of all with sadness.
They're a great group of players. Rooney, himself, is growing as a manager.
I'm sure the state of the club has helped them pull together.
But, nonetheless, I wonder what they could have gone on to achieve but, we're losing them, one by one at the moment, with Ebosele the latest to go. And Rooney is saying "the team will be ripped apart in the summer". That's because, in his view, Festy is the only one who would go abroad, so the others have to wait until their contracts are up in the summer so they can move to other English clubs.
It's heartbreaking to think what they may have achieved if we'd been able to keep them all together.
Even now, there is still a chance if a sale is made before too long. I'm just not that hopeful anymore. Tragic. COYR ?

Expect Bielik to return tomorrow, I’m not going to criticise Rooney after the miracles he has performed this year but I would have thought Bielik would have been more suited to the Blackburn game than the Bournemouth one, Blackburn are the more physical team and his strength could have helped. Thought Thompson got bullied a bit on Tuesday?!

One option assuming we continue to play out from the back is to play him at centre back. He’s our best footballer, can deal with a press and will make fewer mistakes than others. And it makes sense if he’s struggling with fitness -  he’ll need to put fewer miles on the clock than in midfield.

Q has put the evidence on the record.  It’s a litany of over optimistic rhetoric and missed deadlines. They are a small vessel without a rudder in the roaring forties. Fans don’t expect 20:20  foresight but they have been made to watch highly paid professionals playing stick the tail on the giant donkey

Q were told the 9 points drew a line under the historic FFP breaches. Nothing else

The Boro claim was separate, and already ongoing. But Q assumed wrongly that one way or another they could make it go away.

In the last few weeks Wayne has gone from an inspirational and defiant motivator to grumbling about referees and about Q’s failure to keep him in the loop. I worry his frame of mind is not positive enough to do as you’re suggesting

Totally agree with your point. But Morrison sitting this deep is a yawn. Bring in Bird, who was decent tonight, push Morrison forward alongside Lawrence and remove Plange

For the remaining games we need to get the senior pros back in. Too many youngsters at the minute who do not have the know-how and it showed in the second half.
                              Allsopp
    Byrne        Davies         Stearman       Forsyth
                               Bielik
                  Knight            Morrison
     Ebosele             Plange                Lawrence

I’d like to see something like this; Bielik to protect the back 4, Knight’s energy to disrupt things in the middle of the park, press, and push forward to support the attack. Ravel and Lawrence to play off Kazim, sometimes coming short and taking shots from distance, other times running beyond, also then getting in the box to compete for crosses from the full backs, just to try and vary  what we’re doing going forward. Then Festy, Sibley and Plange can come on if needed, or Thommo to shore things up when we’ve raced into a 3-0 lead ? ?

If you're going to forget all the play-off matches, going to Wembley, breaking the transfer record to bring in Vydra, some wonderful loans and players singed, a youth system bearing fruit and sacking managers because so many fans here said so. Then forget those times, his fortune thrown at this club to chase that dream. But be happy with any new owner and any lack of ambition that may likely follow.

We enjoyed the signings because we stupidly and wrongly thought that Morris and DCFC could afford these signings....but if we knew it was putting our club in jeopardy of course we would'nt...
what?? are we supposed to not like every signing because we think the controller/owner/man in charge of our football club is gambling with our future???? No we/ I thought Morris is a business man knows how to run a business so you trust him......only to over spend....not pay the tax man and then walk away....please wake up and smell the coffee mate....its a ludicrous statement to make saying did we like the signings?? of course we did....what we did not know was we had someone slowly sentencing our club to all of this misery.....He was and is responsible for this and he should be giving the stadium back as he's walked away from debt he orchestrated!! fact?

it’s a truth universally acknowledged, that a man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a ‘community asset’ and - if he buys it - that he is morally responsible to ensure it does not diminish in value during his tenure.
Problem is, if MM had said to us: I’m going to chuck £200 m at the club because that’s what’s needed to rise above the parachute corps...   most of us would have said, God bless you you are our saviour.

And if he’d also said to us, don’t forget I’ve never run a football club, I don’t know how to delegate and I’m not a great judge of character, most of us would have said, let’s go for it anyway
All credit to those who said along the way, this is too much risk. But there weren’t many: most of us enjoyed the big signings, Frank, mason Mount, the Leeds game etc etc, even Rooney

Hmm. I think most of us would have said: 'Great, gamble as much of your personal fortune as you want, just make sure you keep enough back to settle your debts without ruining the club.'
We aren't facing extinction because Morris spent so much money, so fruitlessly, chasing his dream. We are in a mess because he wouldn't or couldn't spend the money to fix what he so spectacularly broke.
Fans couldn't really be expected to know how much money he had (or didn't have) and can't really be blamed for taking him at his word - it's not like he ever gave the impression he was racking up unpayable debts from which he'd just walk away (with the stadium in his pocket to boot).
