Let him go so he can move forwards with his career again. He’s a good player, with plenty of potential.
Won’t get what we’d hoped for him, but his value will deteriorate the longer we keep him.

I would keep Sibbo, sell Knight and Buchanan if we have to..

If selling Knight and Sibley gave money towards rebuilding the club then I would be happy to sacrifice them for the good of Derby County.

I know, the Man City deal had already been mentioned, just adding for balance.

He is not a buyer but an advisor with great success at Man City not at Wigan. Don’t know which other take overs he has advised on

It’s been over a week. Nothing has been officially confirmed either. Doesn’t mean it’s dead or fake. Just probably more likely the club not saying anything until it’s 100% after being burnt twice.

If it's true Rooney favoured the American consortium then he either knows the bidders himself or at least knew they were serious bidders who can give him what he needs this summer. You would think the bidders are credible, it's just whether Mel accepts the deal on the table.
We just have to hope something is done soon as Rooney seems to suggest he has plans ready to put in place, I'm guessing this will be players, his staff etc.

Verstappen is a fantastic driver but I will always want Lewis to win a world championship whilst he keeps driving even if it's boring.

Do you remember when Alonso moved to McLaren and everyone thought it was only a matter of time before he got his 3rd title? He's been good enough consistently enough to have won another title...but there's a lot of things that need to line up to actually win it, so, no, I don't think it's crazy at all that this may be Verstappen's best or only chance to win the championship.

While I agree with petty much all of this, I'd still happily see Hammy smash out 10 WDCs all the same ?

Can't understand why Solskjaer didn't substitute DeGea and put Henderson on for the penalties he might have done better. Congratulations to Villarreal on there win. Won't shed no tears over a Man United loss.

RoyMac5 I don't know about you but I don't rate Solskjaer as a manager. A team like Man United should be looking a lot higher.

I'm not really sure, how much are his hands tied regarding player signing. I mean would you keep DeGea and Pogba? When you see the others in the squad I think he's done well in the league. The final last night they played nothing like a team that a Utd fan would expect to see.

Try and get Lee Grant back from Man United going to be a free agent soon. A lot better keeper than Roos.

Yep, apparently Henderson has saved 6 to DeGea's 1. Plus he's a better keeper!

Ahh but after 2 years of Hamer/Roos/Marshall he may now look like Edinson, comparatively.

Harsh, the penalties were of a fantastic standard. On the other hand De Gea hasn't saved a penalty for Man Utd since 2016. So he has form. His biggest error was trying to place his own kick...rather than just hitting it as hard as he could. Absolutely delighted Villarreal won! ?

Horner digging out Mercedes for appealing and pushing the agenda on their flexible wing is doing my head in. He has spent the last few seasons crying to the FIA every time Mercedes implement something new, so to come out and say Mercedes are out of order for doing the same is just childish.
I'd prefer it if they just fronted up to what they are doing. It's a competitive sport and everyone is looking for an advantage, no need to start whingeing when this sort of stuff happens.

ziggyram59 reacted to Gaspode in F1 2021
Not really - there used to be a number of places where cars could overtake (saint devote, rascasse and the chicane after the tunnel for example) but modern aerodynamics mean the cars can’t get close enough to each other to even think about nipping past - add on the extra width and speed of the modern cars and it’s completely neutralised racing. The only attempt at a proper overtake on Sunday was at the hairpin with the 2 Haas cars battling for who would be last on the very first lap. Majority of overtaking took place on the run to the first corner or during the pit stops - other than that it was simply a high speed procession. Great to see Norris finish 3rd but even though he was complaining about his tyres for the last 20 laps he was actually never under threat as the car behind just couldn’t get close enough - used to love the buzz of Monaco but I’m not sure I’ll bother watching next year…..

ziggyram59 reacted to Gaspode in F1 2021
Well that was one of the most boring races you'll ever see. They have to find a way to make Monaco less of a procession - it's a classic circuit, but the modern cars are too fast and too wide to allow any proper racing - and relying on clever pit stops or crashes to make it interesting isn't the answer....
