If Mings has a mistake in him Stones has two. Central defence is our Achilles heal and where we will be found wanting by the top teams.

Yeah, but mings deserves the opportunity to spamp on someone's face on the international stage doesn't he?

Not sure Rashford is fully fit. Played a good stretch of last season carrying an injury from what my United supporting mate tells me.

We have to beat a 'big nation' at some point. This could be the year

I don't mind Djokovic tbh, he's better viewing than Nadal imo and assuming he takes the title he'll be just 1 Grand Slam behind both Federer and Nadal.
I'd like to see Federer get at least 1 more Grand Slam, what with covid, his injuries and age being against him now, it just feels like his career has petered out a bit through no real fault of his own.
But yeah, Djokovic has got age and athleticism over his big two rivals and the next generation aren't really at their level yet. If he stays injury free he could dominate for a few more years and eventually go on to claim around 25 Grand Slams imo.

Looking forward to watching Belgium tonight hopefully they can hammer Russia. If we can't win it (England) then I would love them to win the tournament got some great players. Best of luck to Wales as well.

So Turkey, suggest as a dark horse for the tournament, looked pretty ropey.
Down to Denmark and Scotland to fly the flag of the hopefuls....

Did the Turkish coach swap notes with Rooney? Such a lacklustre performance from a team many tipped to impress.
Does anyone miss the previous format? For me, it was much better and much higher stakes. It meant that teams had to perform from minute one.
In the current format, teams start playing for draws more and more. I hope Hungary, Ukraine, North Macedonia and others don’t fall into the ‘5 points might be enough for the last 16’ trap. I hope they actually go for it.
It was painful watching Turkey tonight.

If selling Knight and Sibley gave money towards rebuilding the club then I would be happy to sacrifice them for the good of Derby County.

Fear not Ziggy. There are some tracks that will not suit the Mercedes but most will. And you can't keep a good man down. Literally overnight, Mercedes have swapped downforce for straight-line speed and Hammy's the man to make that pay. Tomorrow's race could be an absolute belter.

Things just seem to be getting worse for the Mercedes team in Baku they are struggling to get in the top 10 whilst the bloody Red Bull team are walking away with both titles. Really worried Lewis Hamilton could have lost the world championship already to Verstappen especially if Verstappen wins on Sunday.

Does every club have a load of people who write cryptic tweets and then say things like “can’t say” or “wait until tomorrow” in the tweets or is it just Derby?
I know it’s the school holidays mind...

Even if there is some kind of announcement (I'd be amazed), everyone's going to be pretty wary...
It will probably be something along the lines of "Own the Turf" where the club ask the fans to pay for the pitch.

Forest releasing Hefele... He was born in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and is a centre back. For those reasons alone, I'm certain we should sign him.

To be honest, Leicester have been a breath of fresh air, and had stuck two fingers up at the supposed big 4 clubs. Just like we did under Clough and MacKay. Nobody thought it was possible in this day and age, but they showed the world what team work can do.
Good on them, I just hope we can attract a family as passionate as they did.

In all fairness the Wigan deal was criminal rather than a bad deal. The owner had the money but deliberately destroyed the club.
I'll wait for more details who the Americans are before any real comment but gut instinct is we might see some of the previous American owners return in a different consortium.
