They have to announce the preferred bidder and go through all that entails before they are anywhere near announcing a new owner,we can still lose players next week. Until new owners are named the administrators are fully in charge.
I can see this dragging on till end of January/February if we still have a club by then.

Don't think we will hear any news of potential new owners till Friday at the earliest. If it goes over to next week then we can loose players.
-
Will today be the day when we hear some news of our new owner? Or does it drag on to Friday and beyond?

If we could get a draw I would be happy.

Which do you think is the worst this England cricket team or our 2007/08 season in Premier League? I say the England cricket team because at least we showed some courage, this England tam is just spineless. 68 all out is a disgrace.

I think Forest will come back in for Buchanan with a revised offer and the administrators will accept.
To sell any players to them lot would make me feel sick. Hate everything about that club.

Merry Christmas to all Rams fans out there, let's hope we have a Derby County to look forward to seeing next year.

If CK has pulled out does that mean Gary Cook as also lost interest in us? There hardly seems to be any news now days of him.

We are in the final stages of DCFC as we know it.
I'm beginning to think you are right, January and February will come and go and it will be the same old news coming out of Pride Park, still no buyer.

Sorry to say but 2-0 to them.

I'd be sad if Hamilton does retire like this. I'd also be sad if they bring back Bottas - yes Bottas can be quick but he's really not got that champion mentality. I know it's a logical and sensible move for Merc and probably "actually do-able" but unless they are really sure about Russell it's effectivly conceeding the 2022 title to Max/Red Bull already.
If Lewis does retire, my take would be to do everything to get Gasly signed up. Probably the best "not in a top car yet" driver and after being passed over for the second red bull seat two years in a row, miight be disillusioned enough to go. If that doesn't work, get on the phone to Fernando and say "So Fred, that 3rd title still something you're into?"
Ocon and Lando are probably too hard toget with both being long term hopes for their teams. Gasly wouldn't be easy either, but as with Danny Ric, feeling the cold side of Horner might just make him do it.
I just can't really get behind Bottas.
I agree with you about Bottas a backward step if Hamilton retires, I don't think Horner would allow Gasly to go to Mercedes Wouldn't it be great if Alonso was in a Mercedes? I really believe he could win a 3rd championship with them. But I'm really hoping Hamilton does race for 2022, I still believe that him and Verstappen are far superior to anyone else on the grid at present and to see them race again next year would be good for F1. One thing the FIA need to do now is sack Massi because he is incompetent.

Didn’t the BAWT minutes say February as well?
It is very frustrating but I wouldn’t necessarily describe it as changing the goal posts exactly. They were never hard and fast deadlines but rather ambitious expectations that have proved to be over ambitious as the process is worked through and negotiations progress. I’m not sure if we’d be feeling any better now if they’d under promised and over delivered by initially suggesting end of Feb but actually completing early Feb.
Yes good point.

There are stories going round on MSN.COM that Hamilton looking to retire and Mercedes are maybe going to recall Bottas as there driver if he does. No smoke without fire.
-
Changing the subject of Boro/Wycombe/QPR etc it was reported on East Midlands Today tonight that it could be February before new owners are sorted out. I just feel they keep changing the goal posts, first it was December then January and now February I find it all frustrating.

Good article in Athletic today.
Reading between the lines CK seems to be preferred bidder before Xmas but after that a long way to go .
Usually takes a month after preferred bidder announced to complete .
Verbal agreement over ground with MM and MSD but says not certain.
HMRC talks positive but no agreement until preferred bidderPreferred bidder will have to get through EFL owners test and negotiate with Boro and Wycombe successfully to avoid going to court
Good news but loads to do yet
Why in god's name should we negotiate/give compensation to Boro and Wycombe? These parasites make me really angry it's not our fault that Boro couldn't get into the play-off's because they had a crap manager in Pulis and the same with bloody Wycombe they deserved to be relegated.

Did Cloughie ever get nominated back in the day?
No. Obviously wasn't good enough for the establishment of the BBC.

Tyson Fury doesn't want anything to do with it does he?
I'm still waiting for them to change the name of the award, confuses too many thinking it's based on their actual personality.
Raducanu will win it, but I would go with Lewis Hamilton and troll the FIA by announcing it for winning his 8th WDC, the undisputed goat.
Couldn't agree with you more David I was really shocked when Lewis wasn't chosen. There were times when it use to mean something when the BBC showed so much live sport like Formula1, Cricket, Rugby, Horse Racing etc but today they are a very underwhelming channel when it comes to showing live sport.
-
My choice would be 1. Emma Raducanu. 2. Tyson Fury. 3. Adam Peaty. 4. Raheem Sterling. 5. Tom Daley. 6. Sarah Storey.
Interested in anyone else's thought's.

I'm glad Mercedes have withdrawn there complaint. Max is a fantastic driver and deserves to win the championship over the season he as had. Moving onto next season the FIA and stewards and Massi need more clarity to every team with regards to rules so we don't have the farce of a controversial end to a season again. It would be great if we could get the likes of Ferrari and McLaren fighting it out with Red Bull and Mercedes for the championship next season.

He has been incredible his whole career. He's started to use his position and influence to try and bring some good into the world. Top falleh. I do believe it's not really possible to compare across eras and say x was the GOAT, but of his era, Lewis has been the greatest and is one of the all time greats, he sits along side Senna, Prost, Schumacher, Lauda, Stewart, Clarke, Fangio (etc) in the pantheon of "you know, that bloke really was quite good at drivin"
RadioactiveWaste not old enough to remember Fangio and Clarke but to me Senna will always be the greatest F1 driver I've seen and in some ways Verstappen as a lot of his qualities. I would put Lewis around 4 in the greatest drivers behind Senna, Schumacher and Fangio.

I'm really sick of the likes of Thomas Tuchel(Chelsea), Jurgen Klopp(Liverpool), and Pep Guardiola whining about how they don't have enough players, not enough subs, they should have had a penalty, play far to many games over a certain period at Christmas, Tuchel is the worst without a doubt. One thing about Cloughie you would never hear him moan about these matters.
