  1. So happy Notts won they deserved to be promoted after the season they have had. Think it's about time 3 National League teams get promoted, to get 107 points and lose out in a play off would have been devastating for Notts. Imagine how we would feel if that happened to us? The only criticism I have of Notts it was like they were been managed by COCU with there negative passing around.

I’m not keen on Peterborough United though.

We need to concentrate on Derby County.

I'd like to see Bolton win League One play off final with Ian Evatt been there boss and like us they have had financial troubles and have bounced back from them would be good to see them back in The Championship.

Love all 3 especially Clare Grogan I would of said all of  them 3 but I was in my 20's when they came on the scene.

  4. Who were your first teenage crushes?

Mine were the following Paula Wilcox ( Man About The House)

                                              Farah Fawcett ( Charlie's Angels)

Joanna Lumley ( The New Avengers)

That Juventus shirt is awful (it looks even worse from the back). I bet Notts County’s version will be better (and cheaper too). I like the Liverpool shirt though.

The cheating barstewards even nicked there kit from Notts County.

    Dream job = no job.

I think that almost anything would become mundane if you had to spend 40 hours a week doing it. Maybe some radio DJs do actually really like their jobs, but I feel that the chummy "banter" that goes on in the studio often sounds forced and not at all genuine. Also, being required to play the absolute guff that my audience of philistines wanted to hear would anger me greatly. The audience engagement too, I don't think I could read Jeff from Belper's tweet about a town bypass without falling asleep.

Anon what would you choose as your dream job?

  7. Best 11- GK- Poom RB- John Robson, CD- McFarland and Todd, LB- David Nish

                    MIDFIELD-  Eranio, Rioch, Gemmill, Hinton

                     FORWARDS- Hector and George

Worst 11- GK- Carroll, Defence- Andy Todd, Claude Davies, Leacock, Eddie Lewis

                      Midfield- Anya, Butterfield, Fagan

Forwards- Stern John, Rob Earnshaw, Connor Salmon

  8. First of all my job is driving for DPD and believe me I hate it.  My dream job would be a Radio DJ like Twiggy, Sally Pepper at Radio Derby and the likes of Sara Cox, Ken Bruce, Simon Mayo, Chris Evans etc to me it doesn't sound like work. I listen to the radio a lot whilst driving and they all seemed as though there having a lot of fun.

😂 Fair enough. I'm just turned 50, so have a few years to grumpify!

I completely agree with @Stive Pesley, I'd hate to watch this stuff every week but as an annual one off, it's just fun entertainment IMO.

The good songs (and yes, there are always a few) are good and even the bad ones are normally so bad, they're good entertainment also. Our entry this year sounds like it could have been a Katie Perry or Dua Lipa song, I reckon.

The way they do the voting now also is very good at keeping the interest going til the end.

Wolfie maybe I should just watch it for once to see/hear our entry if she sounds as good as Katie Perry/ Dua Lipa. Also must admit I thought Sam Ryder's song last year was very good.

The Curse, two series comedy caper about a bunch of idiots who somehow steal £30 million of gold from a security warehouse (Brinks Mat type heist).  Series one shows the heist and the aftermath as the coppers try to find the culprits.  Series two sees the gand living it up on the Costa del Crime of the 80's and moving into major drug smuggling after meeting Pablo Escobar.  Very enjoyable light entertainment.  7.5/10

Sounds interesting what channel is it on?

I think there's a bit of taking it too seriously on here. I don't watch Eurovision expecting to hear outstanding music. I watch it for the spectacle, funniness (intentional or otherwise), feelgood factor and novelty of it all. Pair it with a decent Eurovision drinking game, invite some mates round and just have a bit of a laugh.

Definitely not my music taste at all, but having said that, it's not all Europop, there are always some folk acts, a couple of faux-metal entrants and plenty of balladry. but like I said, it's not really about the music!

You make a very good point.

I seem to remember our original interest was a loan for which we'd pay a fee. The logic in the purchase was splitting the purchase over the length of the contract and using our unique amortisation policy meant a low FFP cost in year 1. We also had an asset we could sell or get us promoted.

    Unfortunately his injuries knackered this.

The sooner we can get rid and get him of our wage bill the better.

    Grumpy bugger.

It's a bit of fun. I like it.

But for the Ukraine war, we would have deservedly won last year and we've got a decent song in again this time round. It's a very catchy pop tune, though I'm not sure it's distinctive enough to stand out on the night unless the staging & performance is top-notch.

We're also performing last, which is usually seen as a good thing.

    I'll be watching.

Sorry Wolfie when you get to 62 you become grumpy 😀. I've never been a fan of Eurovision even as a teenager from the likes of The Brotherhood Of Man, ABBA, Bucks Fizz etc I have hated it. I've just been a lover of good pop artists/groups like David Bowie, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, Aretha Franklin, Motown, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa.
