Am surprised that my attempt at humour, satirising the modern trend for people to make earth shattering announcements on social media about totally mundane and unimportant things, has attracted so much interest.

One day, maybe not in my life time, people may realise that wingers, and creative players in general, outside the premier league are wildly inconsistent. They’re asked to try things, scoring and assisting is difficult. They’ll mess up a lot, they’ll give it away a lot. It’s even more difficult when you’re often the only creative outlet in the entire team as NML has been.

Fantastic win. Delighted for Sibbo. The fans were brilliant in the 2nd half and we produced an improved performance.
BUT… I can’t understand Warnes selection today. We were so defensive. 3 at the back and 2 defensive minded ‘wing backs’ was poor. Playing just 2 in the middle when Bird has flourished in a 3 was crazy. We had zero runners getting in and beyond in the first half.
Fair lay to the lads for grinding out a win, but that first hour was proper pony. We could’ve made it easier with a more forward thinking midfield/defence. But, we got the 3 points and that’s all that matters.

I’m not a Paul warne fan, but I strongly agree with Clowes that we need stability and the shocking fact is that Paul warne is about to become the 4th longest serving manager since Jim smith. Doesn’t sound that great I suppose but considering we have had 25 managers in that period I think that probably tells you something about how bad we have been at retaining talent at that level.
I have already said he needs this full season and then we can make a judgement. I stick by that. The guy needs until May at least.

Can someone help me. I would like to know the last time DCFC were “top of the league”. I mean one of the EFL leagues, not the Johnson’s paint trophy qualifying league or anything like that. 
I guess I’m thinking it’s about time we actually finally got there. But perhaps - like I suppose lots of football fans - I’m forgetting a recent time when we were top (possibly only for a few weeks??). 
It’s about time our fans can sing about being top. Don’t you all think?
I am also be interested in how many times we’ve been too of the league since, say our first premier league season (was that 1996/7???)
