Probably how other league one teams felt when the COVID season that wasn't finished put mid table Wycombe in the play offs.

I've stayed fairly quiet on my opinion of Mel Morris until now.
He's taken a club, OUR club, from having: a relatively low Championship wage bill; an exciting brand of football and decent future prospects in 2014-15 and ruined it in 7 years. We had a decent team and ended up throwing money around (that we didn't need to!) on bang average players and inexperienced managers (I'm thinking mainly Clement here) who didn't have a clue; then tried finding loopholes around how much we were spending! Now we're in administration, will end up having to 'sell the family silver', staff will lose their jobs and we'll be lucky to have a club this time next year by the sounds of it.
Anyone who knows me will know how much DCFC means to me (and I'm guessing many of you on here are in similar position) I'm gutted... absolutely gutted... and MM deserves everything the fans sling at him tomorrow ?

On the plus side we didn't lose and that might keep Hughton in the job a bit longer so he can continue his excellent work.

With everything that has been going on with the EFL, the player contract situation has slipped down the list of gripes. 
But Waghorn, Marriott, Ibe, Jozefzoon, Malone, Wisdom all quietly seemingly basically going for nothing feels like it leaves gaping holes in the squad and our pockets. Yeh, the wages are off the books but that feels like a very weak argument to explain our transfer 'strategy' now and in recent times. Just looks like one almighty horrible mess.

The thing that’s really hurting DCFC is players running their contracts down. Lawrence will be next , he can talk to other teams at Xmas . Also if Beilik comes back before Xmas and stays injury free for  a year ( which is a big if)he can talk about walking on a free. If he manages 80 games in 4 seasons he will have cost us around £250,000 per game. Not his fault just injury prone.

Thats assuming we will still be in an embargo for another 2 years which if that was the case I think losing Bielik would be lower down the list of worries!

Hopefully his judgement of players is better than his fashion sense....

When did we get a 12 point deduction 

I mean just because you've presented the option, of course we could defy the odds and still get into the play offs ?

This is where Derby fans drive me crazy. Marriott has offered nothing to Derby or Sheff Weds over thr last 2 years. We are a club with no income (like many others) and our cloth is finally being cut accordingly. No squad can or should carry passengers and there is no room for sentiment at this critical stage for Derby.
Wish him well but the last thing he did was score vs Leeds in May 2019. We move on.

Gutted about this one I have to say. Such a shame how his Derby career has gone since that first season. I was convinced we had a player there.

Well better than our current options ? for his first taste of 'mens' football I feel he did pretty well and will only improve the more he plays. If Davies stays he will have someone experienced around to learn off too.
Can also cover Byrne at RB if Wisdom doesnt stay

I'm going to call it. We're going to get to 6th place, that's where we'll finish. It won't be pretty, it won't be easy, it'll come down to the last 2 games. But we'll get there.

I'd say we first need to get out of trouble. 
Way too premature to talk about Playoffs yet. Lose on Tuesday and we will be in a massive dog fight still so can't get too carried away really.
Even if we beat Rotherham to make it 4 wins in a row I'd say a more realistic target is top half with good form going into next season which will hopefully start better and have fans at games. 
Only would believe we have a small chance of Playoffs if we win the next 3 games and also sign some real quality before the window shuts without losing Knight.
