Black ('n' White) Sheep

People will always complain about refs. Most seasons, every two or three weeks we would get something obvious against us that shouldn't be.
The difference this season it seems, at the minute, that in every game there's a crucial decision or two that don't go our way. Hopefully that evens itself out soon...
Credit to them where it's due though, I wouldn't be a referee no matter how much I was being offered to do it! No matter what decision you make, someone won't be happy. Not worth the abuse!

Having had time to reflect...
The big 'plus point' of this game was the midfield. I think we may have found the right blend with Knight, Bird and Shinnie. On top of that, Lawrence was decent and Festy was very effective when he got one-on-one with his full-back. We are just a 2/3 signings away (and a returning Bielik) from having a decent first eleven... I just hope a takeover gets done before we get to the stage where we have to sell who we can for what we can just to keep the club going.

Anyone else think that Millwalls concussion sub was a bit dodgy or am I just being sceptical?

Let’s put it into perspective. Without any points deduction, we’d still be 20th which isn’t good enough for the players we have.

I'm in a similar boat @angieram, I don't get to games often because of a mix of reasons, but I'm always at Pride Park for the Boxing Day game if we're at home. Getting out of the house brings some sanity to the whole week!

Is there such a thing as a 'must win' game this early in the season? If not, this is probably as close as it gets!
Barnsley are on a run of 7 straight defeats. Are playing badly. Have a worse scoring record than us. If we lose this, it'll be the first time this season that I'll think we're in real trouble (I think we can still get out of it as it stands).
Some interesting decisions to be made by WR. Some players didn't perform in the last game. Some players (Shinnie) are suspended.
I'd go with this:
