If we beat Pompey we’re not guaranteed the play offs it depends how posh get on in their next game, but I agree if we’re guaranteed a play off spot before the Wednesday game I’d rotate the squad as best we can.

The Co-op ripped the club away from Pickering by forcing a pre-pack administration, arranged behind his back, so they could take control themselves then effectively gift the club to the 3 Amigos for price of £3. The club was in administration for a matter of minutes.

I agree to a point I think Mel’s intentions were true and good, but Lionel virtually skint himself backing Derby and didn’t have the finances to prevent administration where as Mel did. Also Lionel took us out of that crook Maxwells ownership which we should be ever grateful for. Mel actually took over a well ran club as the Americans put us back on an even keel

If we get into the playoffs it’s likely to be with Wednesday,Barnsley and Bolton 
with warne as boss we’ve drawn with Wednesday beat Barnsley in the fa cup lost in the league and beat and drawn with Bolton I’d say that’s says it’s all quite well matched as play off usually are

He’s also scored penalties and most of his goals have been with his stronger right foot. He's obviously a right footed flat track bully and the only goals that should count are headers and left footed shots against top 6 opposition away from home. Rank outsiders? Really? A win on three final day and we go into the playoffs with the best record in the mini-league. Even with a defeat, we wouldn't have the worst record.

They've spent virtually nothing on transfers though. Yes the wages are probably a bit higher than other teams in that league, but they aren't exactly drowning the club with money. If the level of investment stays as it is they'd be able to do that indefinitely
And if you are going to question how deep Reynolds pockets are we'll have to do the same with Clowes. Reynolds doesn't just make his money from movies - he's sold a number of company stakes for very good money in the past. 
EDIT: Just had a quick look and turns out they have only paid one transfer fee in the entire time they have been there. They've also increased the revenue to record levels. Still made a loss of £2mill, but its not exactly massive is it. Not sure why you are all so upset about a club that nearly ceased to exist having a very modest amount of investment plugged into it.

A few weeks ago, you said you’d be amazed if we make the play offs. Now we are in the driving seat with two games to play.
Perhaps in that case, Warne and the players deserve credit for the turnaround?
Your default position seems to be we only succeed against weaker opposition, but as we’ve seen in recent weeks, nothing is a given.
Cambridge and Cheltenham beat Peterborough, Burton beat Barnsley and took points off Bolton, and even today Lincoln beat Wycombe.

Look at Sheffield Wednesday’s recent run that took them from comfortably top to lagging behind in third - a run of 1 win in 8 with dropped points away v Forest Green, Oxford and Cheltenham, the kind of games we have been ridiculed for winning.

Its really only kind of worrying if you live in some sort of fantasy land where you cancel the results of football matches to help you create a fantasy league table...for the rest of us normal people its not worrying at all.

Three points are three points, no matter if you play a team in 3rd or 23rd.
I don’t see the point of this thread. Our record v teams outside the bottom four is reflective of where we are, a good top half team that can produce outstanding moments and has an outside chance of promotion.
Against the bottom four, surely you can say we’ve done a very professional job. These games are not always straightforward and present the kind of banana skin we have historically been vulnerable to.
Look at Cambridge and Forest Green beating Peterborough and Wednesday, for instance. 7 wins from 8 and just 1 goal conceded is not a given. We have earned it.
