I was 17 years old..was lucky enough to attend all 42 matches home and away. Me and 3 or 4 mates had missed only about 3 or 4 games the previous season and we decided to try and get to every game.The first time in Rams history I'd been to every game and the first time Derby County had been crowned League Champions! Not a coincidence surely! Fantastic time to be a Rams supporter.

After a hard game against Colin at his most irritating, next up is an interesting trip to Sheff utd. After relegation they've not really looked the force they were when they were on the up. Given it's the league cup, exect both sides to make quite a few changes - which from a Derby point of view is relevant because these are the players who are going to be in the league matches if anyone goes down injured.
There's no reason to expect a win or fear defeat - it's a cup game and they exist to just throw things around in a mixture and see what game you get on the day.
 

What a day that was in '86, Rob Hindmarsh winner in front of 10k Derby fans in a 20k gate. Definitely in my top three away games.

Been a fantastic test so far. Could be an all time classic if it gets down to the last session with all results still possible.
Pitch starting to deteriorate so any more than 175 is going to be very tough to chase I think.

Thing I still don't get, this season there's lots of cheap or free players available, plus loanees. It's a good market. On soft embargo we would be limited but nothing like now, could probably sign 8 or 9 (I think the number calculated was) cheap, short term deals. Then a mid-table position would look much more achievable and the value of the club would look more reasonable - what ever value of paying the debt is. Why not Mel?

Last I saw was around £60m incl PP mortgage so pay £1 plus a proportion of the debt, starting point say half, MM pays off the other half, get DC and PP for around £30m and then debt free, not a bad deal. Need to review annual spend, compare now with spend at ffp level and also spend at break-even level and go from there.

For what its worth my take on this is that Mel was always going to leave submitting the accounts until 18th. It could be because initially he wanted to ensure we were still going to play in the Championship this season.I suspect though there is something in the accounts that both parties aren't willing to back down on!  I expect that if the EFL cannot find anything wrong when they are re-submitted (I am sceptical about this) then they are not going to make a decision until after the transfer window closes, thus hoping we will have to go with the players we have and then possibly relegation. Mel & Pearce unfortunately are losing many DCFC fans by the lack of communication. This week is possibly one of the most pivitol weeks in DCFC's recent history. I hope for the best (and I am a positive chap) but I feel we will not be increasing our squad until January next year (as long as Mel can supply the EFL with evidence he can continue running the club financially until the end of the season).

A bit controversial but, in this instance (just this one) are the EFL really being that unreasonable? Derby seem to be deep in debt, haven’t submitted annual accounts for a few years and are potentially in breach of P&S rules. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to insist on the accounts being submitted, any penalties accepted and some kind of evidence that the club can continue to pay its way before allowing further signings. (Tin hat on).

The more I think of it the more I realise that only time will sort this out. 
 In the mean time we fight on match by match .
Even if we get relegated the most important thing is that DCFC survives as a Club. 

I doubt Mel is stalling - he's desperate to get rid. Far more likely that potential new owners won't agree to buy us until they know what any possible penalty will be (which makes absolute sense) - and the EFL are dragging out any punishment announcement until after the transfer window has closed to make things as difficult for us as possible.....
