  1. Thought Allsop had a good night. Like many, I wasn’t happy to see his name on the team sheet but he saved everything (mostly routine bar one or two) and even caught a couple of things too.

Stearman worries me a little. Although not sure if he improved second half or I wasn’t as nervous about him because he was further away from me in the South Stand. Seems slow to move his feet and looked a liability.

Don’t think it was a coincidence the goal came from the first time Forsyth used his acre of space to actually dribble forward rather than come back. He needed to do that more often to keep the defence honest.

Midfield did a decent job of rotating deep to fetch the ball from the defence which was good. Trying to play out from the back with our personnel is not fun but they made the best of it by helping out - we did still manage one huge calamity after half time.

Stretton looked decent but needs a big stint in the weight room. Reading do have some quick defenders which didn’t help though.

I am not one for conspiracy theories but after the red card and injury time penalty last game and now we have an unbelievably bad referee and linesman this game it doesn’t half make you wonder. The linesman missed some shockers, especially the ball being miles out first half under his nose. The referee didn’t give a blatant foul on Ravel on the edge of the box, a blatant penalty for handball, seemed to not bother booking them for the same thing Stearman got booked for, then booked Buchanan for his first foul. Just a baffling display of biased ineptitude.

I can't remember people being so precious when it's the opposition fans singing about us burning our kids and other lyrical masterpieces.

I wasn't at Sheffield to hear what was sang, but I dare say quite a few moaning about it now weren't there either.

Youngsters get drunk and do stupid things and the world keeps on turning.

Got no issue with condemning chants at all. Clearly there are some things which should be off limits. The two things that annoy me are people getting offended on behalf of other people, and moreso, believing that we are somehow special in our support and that these type of things aren't at every single club - whether that's right or wrong, is irrelevant, it's just true.

Isn't it their duty to get this out far and wide so that no-one can come along later and say they didn't know about it?

I'm not going to knock our administrators for being open and transparent, given that was one of the things we have all been complaining about recently.

Exactly... it's a modern age. Why would they want the 538 interested parties clogging up their day-to-day email boxes rather than the this specially made one for us because we're so so special!

Would I be right in saying you can only register players in Jan/Summer windows, but you could sell a player in between (the cash side of it) if you wanted to and then player would just sit on his hands until the window?

If so administrator could get a money to cover wages in this way?

Don't believe so. Think if you agree a sale it's just for the transfer and money to happen when the window opens - usually leaving the player not playing in case of injury.

Classy? Can't begrudge us the win because we've had a difficult 24 hours?! ? How about because just like you saying 'we had two really good chances to score before we did', we could say 'we had two really good chances to score after we did'!

You've ignored the final paragraph where he says we played well.

Ball had strength. I still stand by my opinion that he could have been a very reliable Championship forward. He seemed to lose the hunger for the game when we loaned him out to Coventry.

He was warming the bench a couple of years ago for some team playing Belper Town. And when I say warming the bench, he was warming most of it as he is rather rotund.

He'll soon fall into the Mason Bennett trap of being judged as crap, simply due to only 2 goals in 40 Championship games... despite that being just 915 minutes of football.

He's not fast, he's not strong, so he has always needed a bit of time (a season, sometimes 2) to adjust to the higher level of football.
You don't score 20 goals and grab 12 assists in 20 U18 games unless you have something about you. The fact he got those goals from being a clever, technical player rather than pacey or strong just shows he needs time.

5 goals in 643 minutes in all competitions in his Swansea career so far. It's not going too badly for him.

Wasn't Callum Ball a bagsman at kids football though?

Not that I'm knocking Morgan. I thought we should've kept him and he got a ridiculously harsh ride.
