Great to see some of the great team remembering winning the second division championship fifty years ago, the boys that put our team onto the map and started the fantastic journey that would make us champions twice of England twice and European cup semi finalists! Really entertaining night at the quad !

They were but if you sign something with black in the picture the signature can get lost so I use blue a lot to make it stand out more, I’ve got plenty in black though, and gold and silver, never red though ! Never !

A nice collection of DCFC legends that I have got to sign of the players on our travels, some great names here, it has been a real privilege to sit down with them with my Dad and son and talk about their memories of Derby County and the Baseball Ground, never again will we see such talent playing for our football team.
Hector, Durban, McGovern, Powell, Todd, George, Gemmill, Carlin, Boulton, Daniel, Webster, Nish, Walker, O’Hare, Davies, Wignall, McFarland, Hinton.
    also Clough, McKay, Hennessy,

it does frustrate me that here important facts that are getting lost
The EFL made 2 charges against us the first was dismissed an not appealed.  The second, the first particular was dropped by the EFL and we were found guilty of the fifth and not the others
They appealed 4 out of the five particulars, the fifth was dropped as it was outside jurisdiction and it is only the second particular which the LAP upheld the appeal.  I say only but you know what I mean.  So out of a considerable number of accusations the EFL have made a complete balls up.  Surely this is a story in itself.  it just looks like they have being throwing mud at a wall and a bit has stuck

Wolves are nothing but a great example of breaking the spirit of the competition (arguably far more than we're accused of) and gaining a competitive advantage through creative means.
This is a perfect example of something I mentioned the other day - people praise clubs who bend rules to their will & succeed, but paradoxically damn those who bend rules and fail. You're doing exactly that.
They created a closed market to purchase players well above the standard that were available to any other Championship club & to hire a manager who wouldn't have touched anyone else (hence going against the spirit of competition).
Sure they used some of their own youth players too, did things well on the pitch but you only need to look as far back as us under Lampard to see how 2-3 players well above the league average can drag the standard of others up with them - the difference is we paid fair value to loan these players, and their availability was not closed off to anyone but DCFC.
They signed these players for fees below market value, paid them a weekly wage also below market value and instead tied up any financial payments that would see them overstep the spending limits in promotion bonuses. After these bonuses were they handed out they would have broken the spending rules - ie 'cheated'.
Had they not been promoted they would just defer payments until such a time that they were, carry on bringing in players of a standard unavailable to anyone else and in essence pretty much guaranteed their promotion at some point.
None of the above are 'the right intentions', they're the complete opposite, but again... as long as they're successful with it people will turn a blind eye.
People really should have been up in arms about what they did, but seem too scared to complain about it lest they get labelled 'jealous' or 'bitter' that their club didn't think of it. It's ridiculous.

Can I just point out the factual error from the article that was posted, it said one point would send us down, it would not as our goal difference is better than Wycombe’s.

Not in a case where there was no points deduction and then there was. Macclesfield had a suspended deduction pending the appeal
Are you still talking about Macclesfield here? They were deducted points on three separate occasions due to on-payment of salaries and failing to fulfil fixtures. That's a bit different to what we have
    Huh?
It still doesn't stop the fact we asked the EFL for guidance on the matter before changing the policy, and then the EFL approving our submissions for three years in a row.

Apparently there is a club that has an alleged drug dealer , mobster , bakery burner and match fixer as chairman so it’s all good as far as the EFL are concerned

Lot of assumptions being thrown around.
A big assumption by the media (and the EFL) that by EFL winning their case and forcing us to restate accounts that this means we will breach the £39m limit and be subject to a points deduction. Club and people on here that have crawled through the finances seem confident we’re actually within the limit, therefore no points deduction and this EFL appeal has been a complete waste of everyone’s time.
Another assumption that Mel is going to stop funding us if (should now say when) this takeover doesn’t go through. Even the Mail are conceding Mel will stand behind the club until a buyer is found.
No points deduction, Mel still in situe, pride park open for business again meaning the much needed return of our main revenue stream, a vastly reduced wage bill, hopefully we can start operating within our means. As for the playing squad, with some wheeler dealing and Bielik coming back during the season, should be enough to put a team together capable of survival even with Rooney in charge.
As for any aspirations next season, anything above 21st is a bonus. My expectations have certainly been reset and hopefully as we start getting revenues back on stream and a bit more stable, a credible buyer will come in to try and take us forward.

It’s fact but wasn’t against the rules at the time ( would be now as EFL changed this after ) just like selling the stadium to yourself isn’t. It’s just “creative “ . Just makes Gibson a hypocrite in my eyes happy to use the ( lack of )  rules for himself but cry when someone else has the temerity to do it. If I was him I’d be bollocking my financial guys for not thinking of it themselves.
Not having a go at you @Pearl Ram at all just pointing out that a lot of other clubs have been “creative “ as you put it not just DCFC .
    Hope that makes sense COYR

Plenty of other clubs have been more than creative in recent years Boro , Leicester , QPR ( which affected us directly) , Wolves , Reading , Sheff Wed , Leeds , Wolves , Forest , Watford , Villa , Bournemouth come to mind without even thinking hard about it.

I would imagine the Keogh issue is far from done.
Hopefully we can appeal and then neither the EFL nor Keogh can challenge the next ruling.
I imagine we can even appoint our own people to hear the appeal.
This is how it works isnt it?

The rules were only ever introduced to stop someone else doing a Man City and gatecrashing the top table. Any talk of keeping football sustainable was absolute hogwash.

I understand your sentiment but please don’t forget the fans. We ARE the football club. I remember Clough on ITV, speaking in front of fans protesting against Maxwell, saying that we would be here long after Maxwell was gone. He was right.
Maxwell, Morris, Keogh, Glenn Skivington...we have and will see them all off and will be left standing. We are Derby. We are here because we care and all the mud and poo being thrown at us from all sides can slide off as far as I am concerned because, as much as I dislike it at the moment, I am bonded to and love this football club. So Gibson, EFL, bitter Leeds fans and the twitterati can all sod off.
