I am 100% certain that had we not been in administration, had we not been being "run" by a group of men who knew nothing about actual football rules, had we not been threatened by a curly haired 🦨 and an 🚑🏃🏼‍♂️with claims for compensation that had no validity........, then we would have fought tooth and nail to be cleared of all points deductions and our good name restored.

Well , that last phrase is possibly stretching it a bit.

Wonder if we could sue on the basis charged under a false premise ?

Isn't this George Courtney, ref from Spennymoor? Played in a friendly which he reffed - great official, always talking to the players.

Yes , was just making a comment about a Jack T that sprung into my head . Could just as easily have been Roger Gifford at Wembley 🤬

I have never understood the appeal of bitter or larger. The former to me just tastes like dishwater. But I’m just going on distant memory. When I first started drinking I used to drink mild. The first time I ordered a pint of mild down south they didn’t know what I was talking about. I don’t know if it was just that pub or whether mild was just a Northern drink. Anyway, I had a pint of stout instead and I have never looked back. I like all the main Irish stouts. To me stout is a far more satisfying and filling drink than bitter. It’s not often you get a bad pint, but friends who are always trying new bitters never seem satisfied.

Where I live pub prices are forcing people to drink at home and that is something I don't like to do. A pint at home never seems to be the same as in a pub. The taste is different and, perhaps this is just me, it seems wrong. For me someone who drinks at home is a bit sad.

I rarely drink at home unless I have company. I have a lot of bottles that don’t get opened for months. I am a social drinker much prefer beer in a pub with mates .

I still haven’t forgiven Jack Taylor and his lino for disallowing Dave Nish’s goal in the semi final at Hillsborough 🤬

Derbyshire have signed South African fast bowler, Daryn Dupavillon, to be available for all formats from the start of May until mid-September.

The bit in bold is great news. Dupavillon has a first class bowling average of 25.69…which isn't bad 👀

I vaguely remember seeing him play in the SA20 and bowling with good pace.

Apparently played with Samit Patel in the CPL.

Not a name I know , here is hoping he does well 🤞🏼👍🏼

    Anypne have any advice please....:

I normally go to the match with relatives who have a parking season ticket (Car Park B - Arena) but I'm taking Miss Wolfie to the Orient game and so need to drive seperately and pre-pay to park in the same car park as them.

I stupidly paid the parking on the MiPermit app on Sunday just gone without first signing into my account, so I don't have any email confirmation or live booking showing on the app.

Will they know on the entrance that my car registration has been used for a booking?. Otherwise all I have is a £10 transaction on my credit card app that I can show them. I sent a message on the MiPermit website but I'm not confident of getting an answer.

    Thanks!

As @Comrade 86 said give them a call. I have done so in the past when I wasn’t sure if my payment had gone through. They were most helpful and sorted it straight away

What you’re saying is you’ll choose to use whatever metrics you want to create and make up to suit your narrative.

I’m sorry but I’m really struggling to understand how any fan can go to such lengths to try and justify why their team shouldn’t win/draw/get a positive outcome from a match.

    Not a fan a WUM

I have to disagree there. The referee completely over-reacted to a flick of Beckham's foot that barely touched Simeone. Beckham got a straight red while Simeone got away with a yellow for the much more reckless challenge on Beckham that provoked the retaliation, and got away scot-free with the simulation that he later admitted to.

Simeone deserved levelling, let alone the faint tickle that Beckham gave him. Fortunately, Arthur Numan nailed him in the next round.

We will have to agree to disagree on this one 😅

England have been on the wrong end of some pretty disgraceful refereeing/officiating eg: Maradona 1986, Beckham's red card v Argentina 1998, Lampard's "goal" v Germany 2010 to name but 3 that, had the correct decisions been made, might have led to a different outcome.

Beckham’s red card deserved snidy kick at an opponent.
