Astonishing the quality of football played on the ‘grass’ not in the air! It seems a heavy touch was a good thing then. You’ve got to think that the game would be called off these days. Plus the players were fit must have been like running through treacle. Strangely they didn’t seem to get the injuries we get now. Apparently the game has changed for the better!

They did get the injuries but were many times sent out with pain killing and cortisone injections plus the like. Hence many ex players such as Roy Mac will tell you they are crippled with arthritis and other complications.

Barnsley did'nt play at 100% against Peterboro because they were already assured a play-off spot. There is no league games in May this season and Bolton do have a match every Tuesday/Saturday right up to Easter, that will take it's toll on them.

Deon Charles out for a few games as well

Ignoring the game between Bolton and us, if both teams won all their remaining games, they would be 3 points ahead of us. We can take each game one at a time, be awesome and win every game, but in this silly scenario, only can finish ahead of Bolton on goal difference.

It's really important that Bolton's run in is much harder than ours. We just need to slightly better than Barnsley and Bolton to get promoted. It they have hard matches and drop lots of points, it makes our task far easier.

Bolton and Pompey play each other so one or the other ( or both with a draw) can’t win all their remaining games

Don’t get me wrong if Derby stumble in to the quarters then I dream of lifting the cup just like the next man. But I find the same 6 winning it season after season boring.

A few surprising winners over recent years , Wigan and Fester 🤢. Isn’t that all football now after the money boys fixed it, from back when they decided home clubs kept all league home  receipts at the behest of Man U when they were struggling.

    What a ridiculous decision.

Not from TNT’s point of view. But I somewhat doubt people are going to subscribe just to watch the FA cup.

But a competition that’s already diminished and they’ve gone and done this.

Wont affect my life particularly because I hold the cup in contempt but its a shame for the youth of today.

Why do you hold it in contempt ? I’m an oldie and still love it despite attempts to water it down .

Apart from the goal keeper and central defence, England have probably the best squad in Europe. Bellingham, Kane, Saka, Foden, Rice, Walker, Trent, Palmer all top class, they could get into any team. If Radford gets back in form, Henderson gets back to playing good level you have got a very good a chance to win it this summer.

Radford ? He has been retired since the 1970’s , he gave Roy Mac a runaround at Highbury once.  😉

Can’t believe the sentiment on here about a talented young player who is desperate to prove himself but whose career has been blighted by injuries.

Warne has seen a player in training who exhibits amazing skill. He has shown faith in TJJ because if he could get fit, he’d be a great addition.

It didn’t work out but surely the hope is that this young man realises his dreams?

Hopefully when he recovers he can get a full preseason and kick. Could still be a useful free signing on the right terms

There are pages and pages on here - ITK and speculation about transfers . We know Rice and Hernandez were £100 mill each . Just saying , Rams are keeping it quiet .🤷🏻‍♂️

I honestly cannot remember the last time DCFC disclosed a fee. Over the last few years they always seem to have been undisclosed.

Definitely the type we should be looking at. A quality player that's about to start his peak years and on a free transfer, perfect! Being a Derby supporter is a great bonus for sure. He'd be a good value asset on the books and an ideal replacement for the holes left by Knight and Bird. Top shout there.

Shrewsbury fans not very complimentary about him on their forum.
Another player we have been linked with a few times. Scored a good free kick at PP last season.

I remember it well, Just think what we could have done if left as was, A York perhaps?, Maybe a Chester?, If you go out of the back door of Jorrocks pub it takes you alongside Sadler gate, Where the Tiger Bar is at the old fish market look to your right above and you'll see the outline of an old police station from the 1800s, Stand where the Assembly rooms are and to the left of the Guildhall you'll see a pub sign the Royal Oak I think that never opened...if still there🤷‍♂️ A shedload of history gone in a stroke of a planners pencil 👎

There are lots of tunnels under the streets as well that go from building to building. Again if pumped out and well maintained would be a tourist attraction

Is it not a moot point until things are in our own hands? Until then it doesn't matter what we do - we could be brilliant and win every game left this season and still end up in the play offs if Pompey and Bolton do the same.

Except that we won every game we would beat Pompey and Bolton and they would also have to play each other so on that basis Pompey and Bolton couldn’t win every game 😉😅
