This. Mark Wright was the last central defender I can remember for the club who  effectively carried the ball out of defence to make inroads into the oppositions half. 
Not saying Keogh was anywhere near Wrights footballing level nor wasn't prone to mistakes before that gets leapt on. 

Would that be Lawrence (in his mid 20’s at the time) and Bennett (early 20’s)? Not exactly impressionable teenagers. 

I’m not sure that’s entirely fair. When he was at Derby I would say he was more noted for his (occasionally reckless) runs forward with the ball. Not something you see very often these days from a centre half.

He’s a bit of a panto villain at present. He was a fine servant of the club in my opinion and and independent tribunal said he was entitled to his wages. 
If we weren’t facing liquidation and keogh’s wages part of the debt then I doubt he’d of had the reception he got.
He’s the only person who has a link to liquidation who has stood in front of fans to be abused. He took it well in but at least he stood up to be picked. Morris has be nowhere near.
Some asked why Keogh and Pearce get abuse but Mel seems to be getting away with it.
My response would be that while he has the ground he has a say on what happens. If we abuse him he may take a hissy fit and refuse to sell as part of the deal. In which case we could end up like Bury.

Poor game really, two teams that struggle to score goals and it showed, however the entertainment levels are secondary at the minute.
Plange impressed though, nice of the EFL to allow us to bring him through, looks more ready for first team football than Stretton, even offered more than CKR on the pitch of late as well. 
Saying that, I don't want to be too critical of CKR, I'm sure he came back well ahead of schedule in a needs must situation and it's showed.
Plange looks like he has enough about him to lead the line for the remainder of the season, we need a striker but given the situation it looks highly unlikely to happen.

Well, I applauded him. Does that make me less of a Derby fan than those who booed him? Apparently so, but if you think measuring how much of a supporter you are can be done by booing opposition players then I have to say I feel sorry for you. 

Well in seaons past some fans have booed our own players so not going to worry about booing opposition players. I can honestly say i have never booed a player of any team the best thing is just ignore them.

Maybe you're right. I applauded Keogh. I've been going 50 years now. Today made me ask myself whether it was time to stop. Perhaps it's time to leave it to 'true fans' like you.

kenny millers goal against newcastle was probably the highlight in the following season for me. 

When he walked in front of the SW Upper applauding, he definitely got a good, surprisingly loud rendition of the 'Keogh, Keogh' chant from those around me.
