No one to charge. They went bust owing us a bucket load of money. Another great commercial decision from you know who.

Love the green shirt, loath the socks - too many Beano vibes for me!

Can’t wait to wear Bottle Green during every game in our annual February collapse.

taffyram reacted to Foreveram in v Wigan (H) Match Thread
Heading for a sellout, in the home end at least.Just over 2,000 tickets left, mainly in the North stand and North East corner.
South stand and SW corner sold out.
Just over 500 left in West and East stands combined.

taffyram reacted to FlyBritishMidland in Goalscorers
With all the talk of replacing McGoldrick this is a point that is getting missed. The defence is stronger and the team more balanced in all areas. We won’t let many in and I still think we’ll score goals, including more from the defenders.

Here’s a list of our top scorers for the past 10 years:
22/23: McGoldrick
21/22: Lawrence
20/21: Kazim Richards
19/20: Martin/Waghorn
18/19: Wilson
17/18: Vydra
16/17: Ince
15/16: Martin
14/15: Martin
13/14: Martin
What has everyone on this list got in common? Not a single one of the players came off the back of a high scoring season elsewhere.
Buying a goalscorer doesn’t guarantee goals. That was always the case in the championship, and it’s certainly the same at this level.
Every season we’ve found a goalscorer we weren’t expecting. This season won’t be any different.

Makes sense to wear the home kit in Burton. More Derby fans in that town than Burton fans.

taffyram reacted to GboroRam in Sinead O'Connor dead age 56
No details, but we know she's struggled with mental health and has attempted suicide in the past.
Sounds like she's had a very screwed up life. I hope she's found some peace.

56 ... shocked but her losing her son had hit her very hard (like any one else would losing a son-daughter)
A wounded woman that stood up to the Catholic church

He's still learning about being involved with a big club. Get used to it Mr Warne...... As Ellafella said... We are watching you.

Have to admit this made me laugh out loud…Warney goes about his clandestine football transfer dealings, ensures he puts his hand in front of his mouth so nobody can lip read, disguises himself by cunningly adopting identity-transforming various different head-gears on a daily basis, but all to no-avail when we’re talking about the forensic, all-seeing eyes 👀 of Rams who are poring over every conceivable link, blurred background photographs, keeping ever-watchful scrutiny of B&Q BBQ furniture purchases, and so on, just to see who our promised new 25-goal a season striker is. Turns out it’s Martin Waghorn all along, who has been hiding in broad daylight! Frustratingly Warne’s likened it to “MI5”. You couldn’t make it up!
Speaking yesterday Rams fans replied “We’re watching you Warney…& hint hint …we’re going to need a “bigger” striker than that! One that scores more frequently. Meanwhile M15 refused to confirm or deny reports of any other striker names.

Didn't expect a Devvo reference in here, but I'm all for it.

I like Leeds, especially their fans on social media. Got a real soft spot for them.

Love Warnock and I think Lampard is a bang average manager, but there's no way in hell we'd have had Wilson, Mount and Tomori playing for us without Lampard being in charge. Wilson maybe the only one.

A better manager like Neil Warnock would have easily gotten us promoted that season.

They're showing the game on Sky Football so though I would mention it. I'll probably get shot down for this but Keogh was immense and Marriott was incredible. We had such a good team back then, shame it never worked out.

taffyram reacted to Carnero in Is our budget any bigger than last year?
It's the 18th July and the transfer window closes 1st September, there's plenty of time to spend £ on the right forward when they become available.
As a L1 club, if it is players from higher up that we want, such as Ladapo & Godden, then unfortunately we have to sit and wait for Ipswich & Coventry to conclude their own transfer business first.

taffyram reacted to May Contain Nuts in Is our budget any bigger than last year?
Maybe Warne & Clowes are just confident that he has what it takes to assemble and manage a squad capable of putting us in contention around Christmastime without spending fees, and instead we're holding what spends we do have back for that notoriously difficult January window so as not to be caught short when people inevitably raise their prices, thus actually allowing us bolster our ranks midway through the season for a change in order to help avoid the Feb-March energy slump identified in past seasons playing to the levels Warne expects.

Or even just a bit sensible. Last year lads trip to Newcastle for the racing, hotel wanted £23 for breakfast. Or there's the local spoons at £3.95 plus a quid for a coffee....
