The way I see it it's the same as I said last week.
Clowes chose to effectively remove Ros, and give 4 men a 4 year contract so that means he needs to hold his nerve and play the long game. Can we really afford to get rid of PW's whole staff?
Even if that means giving up on promotion for this season, holding tight in league one mid table obscurity and give it a proper go once the full EFL business plan has been achieved.
I think things WILL calm down once the window shuts. Get thru to the international break and continue to work on fitness and patterns of play.
We would not be out of it in 10th in January and COULD make a few more finishers signings like Bolton did last Jan. This would leave us in a better position next season.
I'm not a Season Ticket holder so this sounds depressing for you guys but we need to look at the bigger picture.
Knee jerk sackings R pointless or wishing we'd have kept rozzy now. A lot hated the slow football and were looking to see a change then.
I am still grateful we have a football club and hope DC stays out of the football decisions but together with PW they need to work at changing things to improve results, and perhaps even more team spirit and unity.

Still don’t feel any more positive after an average nights sleep.

Anyone with an ounce of sense knows we have no energy or creativity in midfield and no pace in the team. This has been evident for a long time. We don’t look like creating or scoring so the last thing we can afford to do is give away stupid goals. The defending is comical. Before the second goal last night we were all over the place at the back. Total panic stations. Worrying when we have signed specific players for the system and that this is really the only area we have ‘strengthened’.

In order to turn the season around we need strong characters, leaders, pace, energy and power and without overhauling the squad I don’t see how we do it.
In terms of players, the only positives Ward, Thommo (last night) and Waggy (last night) aren’t really positives they’re just not playing as bad as the rest.

I would definitely put Thommo in midfield Saturday, not that I think he is the solution but at least he will give us some bite and energy. Hopefully Sibley and Barks will be in contention Saturday.

I’d hate to have to pick the team for the weekend.

I regret shouting ‘What a crock of 💩’ at the final whistle. Not because it was harsh purely because I had to explain to the young one what it meant. Dad of the year.

That is exactly how I saw the game as you say great support second half and the passage of play from Blackpool was sublime and deserved a goal. If they had scored at the end of it I would have stood and applauded. There were positives and if Waggy or Wash had scored then it would have been interesting. For me Fozzy has to start at CB and Tommo in the centre when he passes forwards he looks very accomplished.

I went to the game last night so feel I can comment based on what I saw.
    Positives
The second half they played a lot better. There was more intensity, desire, commitment and inter play between players.
There were good opportunities to get at least the first goal back. Waggy had a good chance and put it wide. It goes in. Who knows?
It was clear Wag and Wash are not up to speed or fit. It was clear that this team had not played together before and therefore there were missed off the ball moves and patterns of play that didn't work.
I will give fair credit to the young lads in the south stand for the noise and support in the second half. Throughout most of it in fact. Well done. The team barely deserved it. Made me proud. Sorry us East Standers were like a library.
Fozzy played well. The man of the moment Bird had a much better second half. Tommo had a good game. Cash was giving it everything including that lovely bit of skill to beat 2 players and a crunching 50/50.
    So not all bad.
Blackpool were very impressive first half and yes even in the second they sat back but there passing was crisp playing thru the thirds. That section where they passed about 60 balls to each other and had it for 2-3 minutes sublime.
We have played 2 ex championship teams.
However, that first half was dreadful. Cashs passing was terrible. Each ball was just hoofed up front and Blackpool hoovered them up.
Didn't see a specific error for the first goal, just general lack of tight marking.
Yes, a miss communication by Elder. It's his first game. Both him and Wilson couldn't seem to have the ability or fitness to pass their full back and the dilly dallying led to what should have been the second goal had it not been for that amazing shmeical type save by Vickers.
Overall very disappointing but fair result.
What was more worrying was the interview afterwards, and agree with others that that was not good. Don't think he has an answer to the problem but it needs exercising before Saturday.
If things are that bad then negotiate with Hull for a slightly better price. Said it the other day, need a 'Kavanagh' type enforcer and controller and a much bigger younger centre forward. Shame we didn't get May or Stockton but we need to find someone.
Given that our saviour wanted Warne and made that bold decision,  we have to back and support him. Not sure we will go up this season now, so hold tight for another season and try and get it right next summer. Early days so strap in for a bumpy ride.

Terrible game this. Very bitty, no chances. Lots of falling over. Fancy England against either of these. Got 0-0 on it.
