And his son is thrilled, too!

There aren't many players who you could guarantee would run through a brick wall for the cause - but we've just signed one.

CBRammette reacted to i-Ram in Warne has to get the balance right
I will happily do a pic if Warne gets us promoted. My very first profile pic was of me after losing the playoff final v QPR.
We have a good squad this season; a couple more signings should do the trick, but can Warne make them properly tick? Time will tell.
Don’t feel guilt keeping the Derby line going with your boys. Supporting Derby is character building. Great too that you have mutual interests. That said, I drew a line with my mum about going to Daniel O’Donnell concerts.

CBRammette got a reaction from taffyram in Money
Its been mentioned by PW that we have a budget agreed with EFL, before Knight sale I think. But whether there were always limits to that budget from EFL or if they just sign off on the club's budget as long as they think reasonable no idea.
If the spend constraints are due to DC who has already saved the club from armageddon wishing not to
-further risk the money his family have made or the businesses in which the family has employed people
- or manage the club sustainably after where we got to under Morris
then I am not worried at all. I think we will probably never know just how badly Mel left everything at the club and it is going to be a slow build. There obviously needed to be reinvestment in the decimated academy as well as the first team which presumably all comes from the same pot.
I am not shooting you down saying the above but just I do trust DC is doing things correctly for the long term future of the club. Having said that I do think its important we get out of this division ASAP as if/when crowds start to drop off longer term we will be more constrained

Been meh about this. But just watched his interview and dont think I've ever seen such a happy signing! If happiness equates to goal contributions he'll be alright. Like the point @TuffLuff above makes about Sibley so🤞on that one. However, as a grumpy morning person Waggy and Warney would drive me over the edge. Good luck for the season Waggy

CBRammette got a reaction from Nishfan in v Wigan (H) Match Thread
My grumpy middle aged woman thing is the drinks breaks. Today they constantly broke up play. Does that get added on? How did players manage until the last season or so? I would get it if hot but today? They all should just have their bottles in a small area on opposite side to technical area and if they want a drink they go off and get one with no coaching and no stop in play.
And yes the music was atrocious. The pitch man bosses everyone to make some noise in the second half then instantly a loud hideous thing comes on (thunderstruck???) comes on that kills any attempt there may be to sing totally dead. How is that ever going to produce any positive vibe? Also I tried to speak to someone near us pre-match and we gave ip trying to shout over it. Its deafening. We're west upper- is it as loud elsewhere? And I am not old before people start

So sorry to hear that. I cant begin to imagine how devastating that would be.

I was going for 1) although your criticism of Warne is reasoned and well set out so if posters despise you must be for other reasons!!! However perhaps you think changing your picture from George Clooney will help and reduce the jealousy. If Bambi doesnt work, would suggest a cute picture of a mum and baby sea otter as noone could dislike that

Not exactly the same position. We will be free of the agreed business plan. We may be in league one if he doesn’t do well, we may be in the championship if he does. There might be more viable options available to us on free transfers next season and/or we might be in a position to spend more. We will also have Dajaune Brown 1 year further into his development and potentially ready to step up to the first team with a clear path open to him and less pressure on his young shoulders having been supported through his development this season, thanks in part to the improved depth of senior pros.
None of us can predict the future so can’t say definitively what will happen. This is a signing that adds squad depth to the forward line in the immediate, which I think is one of the only things we as fans unanimously agree was needed. There is indeed an element of short-termism in this signing, but for the moment that’s the reality of where the club seems to be. 🤷🏻♂️

Just to point out one tiny thing, but it was largely Waghorn that helped us see the best of Sibley in those first few games when Sibley looked like the next big thing. At the moment, I’m not sure how it would work but Waghorn might be the right player we need to hold up the ball, move into a space and make room for someone like Sibley to get a shot in. Could be something to keep an eye on going forward…

looking forward to seeing him play in anger. He’s developing fast physically and it will be interesting to see how he’s come on past few months. If he nails down a starting place this season it’ll be great news for us. But it remains to be seen …
