First of all, I can't get over the undue weight ITV place on the role the "cheesy chips" played in this incident. Second, he doesn't look the type. People with garish neck tattoos are usually good as gold. Thirdly, he's been open about his issues with mental health, so I hope any horrible bigots who were thinking about criticising him keep their opinions to themselves.

This doesn't apply to our Sonny as his neck tattoos are tasteful and refined

  2. Seen a lot of Chelsea fans making out like he's Judased them with this move, just because he came through their academy. He's not been slimy to force a move, not joined a club that would be considered a traditional rival of Chelsea's, and he's been very open that he supports Portsmouth not Chelsea, so I don't get it at all. I also don't think you can have the approach to hoarding and selling youth that Chelsea have followed and then kick up a fuss about one of the few of those players that actually got a chance in the first team deciding to follow a path elsewhere. Can't really have it both ways.

The Dale Vince vanity project rolls on!

Forest Green Rovers (FGR), the world’s greenest football club, today announced a new partnership with Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award-winning rock band the Grateful Dead.

The partnership will see the entire men’s first team at FGR kitted out with co-branded travel wear for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

…………...personally, I’d prefer The Clash we are DCFC.😃

That'll definitely help to dispel the idea that they're all a bunch of eco-hippies

  4. I think an interesting part of this that doesn't get mentioned so much is that the clubs that are being linked with all these moves - Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli - have all been taken over by the Saudi Public Investment Fund very recently. Only in the last couple of year have clubs in Saudi Arabia been legally allowed to be privatised companies, but it looks like there's a real push on the part of the Saudi state to pump up the status of the league through major investment in a select few clubs before selling these clubs into private hands.

Incidentally, I don't believe that the AFC has any FFP restrictions, which is why they can offer such exorbitant amounts of money with little prestige or revenue. I actually wouldn't be entirely surprised to see some owner in the Championship exploit this at some point. We already see it happen with European clubs, but the FFP still has to be balanced between them. What happens if the same arrangement happens but one of the parties has no FFP restrictions?

  5. Had to smile at this headline in the Daily Mail
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12160713/Nottingham-Forest-target-Leeds-Tyler-Adams-Steve-Cooper-looks-streamline-squad.html
"Nottingham Forest target Leeds' Tyler Adams as Steve Cooper looks to streamline his squad"
Streamlining the squad by buying more players. That's a new angle.
