I want my CBT

Was just thinking, with this FFP charge coming in, you have to question why they decided to spend half of last season without a shirt sponsor because they thought they could somehow get more than was being offered. That must have counted for a few million at least.
-
On the other side of things, you have Wolverhampton selling 17 players to meet FFP requirements, also losing their manager in the process:

Don't really see it, in truth, but wouldn't be against it

Just wondering, who did Forest keep out of the playoffs the year they went up? Asking for a certain curly haired frie- er, acquai-... lets call him a "currently tolerated enemy".

"Bohs are eyeing the highly rated Isamala but face competition from Derby County. (...) Isamala — also a centre-half — remains keen on a move to England and is spending a week with Derby."Likely for the U21s

Reading's game against Port Vale has been abandoned for a pitch invasion in protest of the Reading ownership:

I think it depends if his underlying point is that incompetent people shouldn’t be pundits, or women shouldn’t be pundits.
Seeing some of his other posts, I don't even thinks it's just that he thinks that women shouldn't be pundits, he seems to think they shouldn't be involved in the men's game at all.

He’s obviously decided that he no longer wants a job in football. No club would touch this toxic twit (using my own personal swear filter) now.
I suspect, like many, he’s latched on to the fact there’s money to be made in being a ‘anti-woke’ (whatever that means) right wing, misogynist (at some point probably moving on to xenophobia and casual racism) bigot who will claim ‘free speech’ (just as an excuse to talk absolute drivel and be obnoxious about it while doing so). The likes of Lawrence Fox have paved a way for a lucrative grift.Aye, there you go

This. Have our recruitment people somehow only just stumbled upon him? Surely they track every young player coming through, and especially those who might have a connection with the club. It would be so amateur now if we pay a fee for him when he went as a free transfer a few months ago.
To be fair, there's nothing to say we didn't try for him on a free

We're not even a week into 2024, and Forest have a potential FFP investigation coming their way, have invented the concept of a permanent loan move to get rid of Shelvey, and now have a player coming out to say that he's never associated with Jeffrey Epstein. What a club.
For clarity on this last one, a fake "list of Epstein associates" has been circulating on social media for a while, in which is the name of Callum Hudson-Odoi (amongst a few other dubious names, including Mikel Arteta). Most people that haven't just taken it at face value seem to think it's an edited list of people that got Covid in the early part of the pandemic, as Hudson-Odoi and Arteta were both early public figures to have been diagnosed with it. I think Hudson-Odoi's name being on the list tipped most English people off to it being a load of nonsense, but a lot of those on the American right - renowned for their common sense and reason - have treated it as gospel, so I'm not surprised if he's a bit annoyed about it.

More ‘interesting’ stuff coming
Paid £12million for him in Jan, ripped up his contract in August.
It's a weird one, but you'd have to hope that the relevant authorities would be aware of this, even if Forest's previous public statements weren't accurate. That said, if they weren't, there could be scope to do a bit of an FFP dodge by pretending a player they released was still on their books as an asset, but considering how their transfer policy has been generally, I wouldn't be surprised if this is just one part of the club having absolutely no idea what another part is doing.

I hope your expensive lawyer can come up with a better excuse than “we don’t know how calendars work”
Same one that us and Sheffield Wednesday used, so hopefully third time isn't the charm.

"However, time is the most precious commodity a manager requires and I don't believe 13 weeks was sufficient to oversee changes needed."
Oh my God, he actually was trying to get them relegated

Not really sure how Gibbs-White wasn't sent off there. Two easily yellow card challenges in a row, followed by him having a go at the ref.
-
Not a bad move for him, especially as NER's last two starting keepers moved from there to Chelsea and Arsenal respectively
