There's reports from Switzerland that I think are saying that Archie Brown will be joining Lausanne-Sport

They said lots of issues in Spanish camp with players falling out with each other..
That's what happens when you bring a French player into the team. It's contagious.

Just to clarify this: The actual Athletic article doesn't say Burnley are keeping an eye on him, they say that he would be a good option for Burnley and that they should keep an eye on him. It's part of an article about players to keep an eye on at the Euros.

Thought this might be worth posting here:
A 32-year old man has been convicted in Nottingham for stabbing Tyree Wilson last year
https://www.nottinghampost.com/news/local-news/Derby-county-supporting-player-who-5508762I hadn't heard about this, but it's a horrible thing to happen to anyone, and I hope the young lad's doing alright in the aftermath.

I don't know how trustworthy or ITK that website is, but they describe themselves as "Ghana's most authoritative and credible sports website", though with our recent experiences with "boxing world champion" Erik Alonso, I've become slightly sceptical of such statements. -

Worrying times for Wednesday. By my calculations, they've only got 12 senior players, and most of them are out of contract at the end of next season. Even if they lose players, they'll be hoping to get something for them in the transfer market to invest for next season.

Surprising, but he only really turned up late into the season. I think getting dropped for a player who doesn’t get a sniff for Cardiff is going to sting a little though.
I thought that was a strange decision, anyway. Rubin Colwill and Dylan Levitt both seemed like strange choices to me. One's only ever played 190 minutes of senior football, and the other's spent half the season on loan at a team narrowly avoiding relegation in Croatia after not getting in at League One Charlton. Even if you ignore Tom Lawrence, it seems strange they got in over Brennan Johnson. Even if he is a Red Dog, he got 13 goals and 13 assists this season as a 20-year old at Lincoln, and I would have thought he'd have been the pick of the bunch if they wanted a young lad to go with them for the experience, but he's been left out as well. I'm glad for both of the lads that got in, mind, but it's not a decision I get.

The reason why Morgan Whittaker is getting stick is because he did the fingers in ears celebration after scoring against us. Why did he do it? What's the need? Don't get me wrong I'm not overly bothered about it but it just comes across as a lack of class and respect for a club that gave him an opportunity.
Oh, I know the reason why, I'm just saying that I'm not intending to get involved in the "is that really worth getting angry about?" argument. I think the post-match interview after that game didn't help, either.

Been seeing Morgan Whittaker getting a lot of stick from some fans now that it's confirmed that Swansea are going to be staying in this league next season. I'm not going to discuss whether this is warranted or not, but it got me wondering: We always say "Once a Ram, Always a Ram", but what former players or other club associates would you say this doesn't apply to? Former Rams that have turned traitor against the club, otherwise burned their bridges, or who would return to Pride Park to more jeers than cheers.
Kenny Burns is the first to spring to mind, for myself. His allegiance is firmly rooted to those down the other end of Brian Clough Way, and with his digs at us over recent years, he's made no secret of it. Personally, I have no genuine animosity towards him, and I think it's all good fun, but is he a Ram? Most certainly not, in my eyes, and I'm sure he'd say the same.
What do you think?

Bogle would be a great direct replacement for Aarons. They're quite similar players, so could be a smart move to sell Aarons and invest in Bogle at a fraction of the price they receive. Will be interesting to see whether Jokanovic lets him go or not, because I can see him working well at Sheffield United if they play a similar system to Jokanovic's at Fulham.

Cantona a bad character??? The very opposite.
He definitely had a reputation as a bit of a bad sort when he was playing in France. He had a habit of getting into fights with managers, team mates and club officials, and often let the red mist get to him. One story I find particularly amusing involved him getting a one month's ban for angrily throwing a ball at an official during a game. At the end of the disciplinary commission, he went up to every member of the panel individually, and called each one an "idiot". The ban was increased to two months.

Am I right in thinking that that impairment is only for the 19/20 season, and that Stoke might yet include more "Covid-related impairments of player value" in the 20/21 season (assuming they somehow manage to get this past the EFL)?

John Percy reporting that Stoke are considering selling their stadium to avoid FFP issues….
In fairness to Stoke, they have, by most accounts, always been a club that backed us against the EFL charges. Can see why, now.

Had no idea he was even eligible.

Watford's seen the result ?
For context: When Bournemouth played Watford earlier this season, Jefferson Lerma was a right sod the entire game, diving, picking fights, etc. Bournemouth won and he posted that Emoji after the game to mock Watford fans complaining about his antics. Seems Watford haven't forgotten it.

No suggestion that we are, but I do wonder if we're one of them. We could do with a creative number 10 and we do love a good Scotsman at Derby.

Was he a transfer target? If not he didn’t chose Cardiff instead of Derby. The only rumoured clubs I can see are Bristol City and Middlesbrough.
Rooney was asked about it in the pre-Luton press conference and said that he knew nothing about it

Thanks for that, I probably should have done that in the original post
