I did the 'dry January' job in 2020, just to see if I had the willpower (and working in Norway for some of that time certainly concentrated my mind)!
To my surprise I managed it relatively easily, but come 1st February, I felt no better and my blood pressure was still high, so here ended the lesson for evermore, cheers!

Similar thing happened at Shrewsbury too. A load of youths came in late (after KO) and just stood in the aisle/on the steps in front of me. The stewards just shrugged their shoulders and did nowt.

Did the bogs resemble those on the Popside at a 38,000 gate for the full experience?

Maybe misguided, but I'd sooner be in form chasing than being top and looking over your shoulder.
We're midway through January and no sign of our annual meltdown, (ducks for cover).

I think it’s called levelling up. Bird’s goal was so outrageous (in a good way obviously), the officials probably felt obliged to allow an outrageous goal for Cheltenham as well. ?
There’s no need for that kind of language on here.

Train out of Paddington is f*****. Our railway network is about as much use as Lewis Dobbin in a 1v1. Ducks sake
Yeh, but at least the NHS is £350,000,000 a week better-off and all those pesky immigrants have gone home.

Nobody does but how do you know Chatteris if you dont mind me asking?
I worked for a business based in the Cambridge/Fens area for a long time.
I'm used to negotiating those Fen roads in the dark when faced with a Mk IV Cortina coming the opposite way with only one working headlight. ?

Have you thought about getting a hot air balloon back to the North West after the game?
Just inquiring about a sedan chair TBH, David. Hot air balloon would have been a goer normally, but north-easterlies forecast for 30th Jan (and I don't want to end-up picking carrots in Chatteris).

It was serious suggestion.
Read it again B4, I'm saying West Ham fans will be able to get home after the game as there is a train to London at about 10:30 PM, but I'm travelling from the north-west and no trains are available from Derby after about 8:45 PM, so it's completely pointless.

Well that’s me not going then. London to derby on a Monday night is not fun
But at least you can see the full game and still get a train back the same night!
-
Evening game means a hotel stopover in Derby for me so it's not going to happen. ?
Crazy when the the vast majority of the West ham fans will be able to get-in the full 90 minutes and still catch a train home to London.

Bentley cars in Crewe post record numbers in 2022. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/business-car-sales/bentley-breaks-sales-record-bumper-2022
Normally anything positive to do with UK manufacturing would be great news, but this is a very sad reflection of a divided society in my book given the state of everything else.
