Well, that was certainly worth staying awake for! I was fine until after the penalty - then my concentration went and I never quite knew where the ball was! Definitely the best game I’ve seen us play for a long time. I thought everyone played their part and we didn’t need to carry anyone.
I don’t get to many games now, but as I’m staying with my daughter in Loughborough, I’m going to get to the Bolton game. I struggled to get to sleep last night as I was buzzing and at 11.30 my son texted to say he’d booked parking for the Carlisle game so could I sort out tickets!. Getting them is my only contribution these days as he now pays for us all. Let’s hope we’re celebrating on 27th April!

Take us home Rampant! Have to say I do enjoy your pre-match preambles. It used to be a thing on here that whoever took the mantle made a bit of effort to build anticipation, so thank you for your well researched and written analyses. Hopefully the last of which will be the final game at Carlisle!

Totally agree. Embarrassing and unnecessary. Makes us every bit as classless and stupid as Birmingham, which I hoped I'd never have to say. Thankfully not many joined in, it was just the usual meatheads who can't wait to have a go at our own fans if the atmosphere dips.

I remember when Martin was sent off at Burnley and some fans were saying that he was stupid to go down because he wasn't touched. Then a close-up replay showed that the Burnley defender had caught the back of Martin's boot on his standing leg and it was red faces all round.
That's why I don't think it's worth trying to work out whether the decisions were correct or not when the available replays aren't conclusive and the officials didn't have a clear view of the incident anyway.
Earlier in the season, we had Rebecca Welch giving a late penalty award against us v Wycombe when replays showed she couldn't possibly have had a clear view of any contact and neither could the lino, but they gave the award anyway probably because "it looked LIKELY that Ward had clipped the attacker sufficiently firmly to bring him down". Yesterday's key decisions were, for me, of a similar nature. The ref believed he'd seen contact on Hourihane, and probably couldn't see any contact between Gayle's hand and the ball.
IMO Yiadom paid the price for his own behaviour throughout the game and it was a fitting punishment who got away with some dreadful tackles and acts far darker than anything DCFC players got away with, and the Reading keeper got what his rash behaviour deserved, much like Wildsmith at Oxford.

Haven't read through the thread to see if this was mentioned anywhere, apologies if it's been raised here or elsewhere.
Was anyone else really disappointed with our fans singing the "we're all having a party" chant. Hoped we might be more sympathetic given recent history. Back when blackpool had issues with their owners I remember us showing some solidarity with their fans, yet last night our loud minority seemed to want to act like d********. During our rough period, there was a lot of posts by fans slating the likes of birmingham, cardiff and other fans who chanted about our club dying. Yet last night the exact same shitty song was used by our fans against another team.
Maybe its because I have some family in reading a close friend who supports them but it all left a bad taste for me. I was a bit embarrassed by those chants...

The past two games have been a joy to watch. We didn’t play as well second half as we did in the first but that first half, the movement, the passing, the desire to win the second ball was excellent.
Adams was brilliant again, at first I thought he was just a midfield battler but his range of passing in the past few games has been superb. I really hope we can tempt him to stay, he compliments our midfield perfectly.

The front three of Barks, NML and Dwight were brilliant. Dwight really is a level above.
Cash as ever played at a level way above his years.
There was some very good individual performances yesterday but the energy and commitment as a team was fantastic and a pleasure to see.
    Well done Derby

I think the second yellow is harsh but in real team it looked like he had caught Hourihane and when you’re moving into the box if the ‘foul’ doesn’t happen then it’s always going to be a yellow.

The penalty I’ve seen given and I’ve seen not given. I think they’d have wanted it if it was the other way round and we’d have probably been frustrated by it.

We had the rub of the green but really should have been 2/3 up by half time.

Do they specifically have to be on Poles or can it be any country from Eastern Europe?

    Morning all
Been a while since anything like this has been attempted and with a sell out expected its now time to turn it on and do our part.
Its been on the socials so spreading the word on here.
So bring your scarves and your flags. Lets make it a sea of black and white come Saturday. There will be some new flags being surfed in the South Stand and the plan is to get some of the bigger flags on poles in there as well.
Really is over to us now to make a difference so voices required from all stands as well in what is a huge game.

He was beaten in the air. So what? Do you expect him to win every ball? Their player should not have been able to get in behind, but let's ignore that and hate on Bradley some more shall we?

I do wonder about some on here. We were miles better than them and I lost count of how many cheaty little fouls they put in tonight that weren't carded. We were also the only side that looked like scoring all night. Does anyone really think they deserved a point tonight? I really don't get the mardiness from some quarters.

How come there was only 5 minutes extra in the first half as the players left the pitch on four occasions to have a pedicure or something similar which added up to over ten minutes on their own

    Half time story time.
I used Derby in a job interview today. Not going to go into detail about what I do/apply to, but it could involve watching back some pretty upsetting footage.
Interviewer said "it might make for some difficult watching, would that be a problem for you?"
I said no, I've been watching Derby County for over 30 years, I'll be fine.

I’m going to this, my first attempt at an evening game since the brain haemorrhage 4 years ago.
if you’re in the west stand could you keep the noise down please? I’m usually barely awake by 8.30 so I’d be grateful if you didn’t wake me up just to watch a game of football.
    Thankyou!

Bit harsh mate.  (If you don't mind me saying!)
We all got up to stuff in the past, but that don't make it right/acceptable/civilised/considerate.
It's all well and good if everyone involved is up for it.
But if said flying seats/coins/phlegm/rotten tomatoes etc rained down on 86 year old @oldfogeyram, and his 9 year old great grandson @you'veneverlivedsonram, they'd have every right to be a bit miffed, when all they did was to come out to enjoy the footy together before the former pops his Dutch footwear!
How would you react if someone shoved a banger (firework) in yer airbrick this evening?
Or you had an egg smashed all over your brand spanking new Cortina windscreen when you come out for work tomorrow?
How about the fire brigade banging on your door at 11pm tonight, because "We've received a 999 call..."?
All jolly japes bitd.  None of them are life-threatening of course*, but they're still not what we want in this day and age, eh?
I doubt anyone expects sanitised conditions/behaviour/language at the match, but there has to be limits, and going back 4-5 decades is no way to move forwards!

    Yours sincerely

We’ve won 2 on the bounce with an aggregate score of 6-0 and gone clear in 2nd, even if others win their games in hand.  We’re now back to psychoanalysing everything Warne and his staff say.  You couldn’t make it up!!
