Please don’t use Joz. Its taken me an hour to realise you’re not talking about Josefzoon!

Thank god for that... now I can go to sleep! Throughly impressed with Rooney and this window ??. Said big players wouldn’t be sold and they haven’t been.

Is this guy related to the mods? A few years ago they were all wanting to be famous for BanningMe.

Out of all the players we’ve been linked with he’s easily the most exciting, but I think the other are all necessary, even if they aren’t glamorous.

Fair enough, but we hadn’t even paid our players a couple of weeks ago, we’re not in a position to be making big name signings and unlikely to be able to attract them either. We need solid, short term solutions to get us through the rest of this season.
The club can’t afford to be paying big loan fees, or large percentages of big salaries if there’s still a chance we’ll be relegated.
Lee Gregory’s a solid back up in this league, we need some grafters to get us through the next 4/5 months.

We need to make signings who can help us carry on our recent form, good, solid Championship players or those we think are good enough and have the right attitude to to step into the team and fight for everything.
There's little point in us making 'exciting' signings for a 4-5 month spell when realistically the best finish we can hope for is around 10th. We can look at the sort of player you're talking about once we're safe & the future of the club is more certain - those signings will likely cost money, which is something we don't have a lot of at the minute.
Sit tight, Rooney is good enough to steer us out of trouble & we're making sensible signings to help with that.

I think Rooney has an eye for a good work ethic, anyone not putting in a shift-and-a-half is out on his arse.

Maybe he’s the sweetener in a deal whereby Rotherham can also give Jozefzoon back.

As with Kaide, I have mixed emotions about this. On the one hand, if the £3M figure for Kaide is true and we're securing decent add-ons, it's hard to walk away. Likewise if Manure are offering silly money for the others. That said, it's such a shame that kids this young are leaving well before they've even had a squeak at first team football.
On a separate note, the powers that be need to have a look at the current regs. In this post-Brexit apocalyptic and dystopian new world order, allowing Premiership clubs to raid lower division academies might not bode well for EFL clubs unless the mandatory compo levels are looked at.

archram reacted to Tyler Durden in WTF unbelievable football tweets!
There seems to be a increasing ever growing unacceptable trend of posting racist tweets - over the past week Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Reece James and Romaine Sawyers all being the target of abuse.
Glad to see that one culprit has already been arrested - saddens me that people actually believe that this level of abuse is acceptable and also that the social media platforms don't seem to be doing enough pro actively to stop this vile filth being posted in the first place.

Didn't see anyone on here complaining about Bogle not showing loyalty to Swindon when we picked him up at 16. What about Jason Knight? We poached him at 16 from his club. He was there from the age of 4. He should have shown them loyalty and turned us down right? You can't complain that Liverpool are doing this to us, when we do it to countless other clubs multiple times a season.

There's a lot of animosity towards Kaide on here, which is sad. He's a brilliant young player, and he may make it at Liverpool, who knows?
He might look at his brother Kellan's career path; he chose to stay at Derby, never got a real first team chance, left I think on a free transfer and is now plying his trade for young Nigel over at Mansfield. Great lad, earns a living from the game, but if I was him, I'd be telling Kaide to go for it. There are no definites in football, wherever you end up - why not go and try to compete with the very best?

I think a few posters should just have a look at their comments about a young 16 year old boy. I have a 16 year old and know how I would feel to read some of the posts on here. However fed up you are about our situation at the moment dont direct it at a young lad. Its embarrassing. If you go Kaide then best of luck and hopefully see you back again one day unless the posts about this everywhere poison your view of our fans. And if your sale lets a couple of others come in who can save us from the abyss thank you.

Sounds a bit bitter when talking about a 16 year old kid. Loyalty in football only extends to fans being loyal to their club and that's it. We're happy enough to bin players off if they're not playing well, and even happier to shout abuse at them in the stands and on social media.
He's been given a chance to join the champions of England, who do actually try to bring youth through - Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Rhys Williams, Neco Williams etc. I'd think differently if he was joining Chelsea's young perpetual loanees.
The best players don't get to where they are by going for the safer option, he has to believe he's good enough to break into the side in a few years time. If he does, then who knows what he's capable of achieving, maybe he'll be a Sterling or a Sancho. And if he doesn't, he knows there's plenty of clubs willing to sign ex-Liverpool youth players... like us for example! Seems like it's a risk worth taking.

Instead of going round and round in circles and arguing every point can we not for once wish Kaide the best of luck in his career , hopefully in a few years time we are able to say we nurtured that boy at the start of his journey to be coming a top class player

Someone rang Radio Derby last night outraged about the transfer as he reckoned Gordon was the best young prospect he's ever seen play for the under 18s. Given we have been in various states of lockdown and not allowed to go to Academy games all the time he's been playing at that level I thought it was a pretty bold claim.
Unless he was Darran Wassall, of course!
Good luck to young Kaide, sorry to see him go but that's life at Academy level and it's a great opportunity for him.

Can't help but like Frank, but he made a (very understandable) mistake in leaving us for Chelsea, then drastically overpaid for potential last summer. He's been on borrowed time for a few weeks.
I wouldn't want him back, even if had a vacancy. Not entirely sure there's as much substance behind the inspirational presence and aura as maybe some believe.
Similar inspirational presence and aura now resides behind the managers desk at Moor Farm, and it seems to me that there is a big healthy nugget of substance behind Mr Rooney as a manager too. 6 weeks ago, I was decidedly nervous about him, but right now...Frank or Wayne? Only one winner for me.
