I took delivery of a large roll of bubble wrap at work today,
I asked my boss where to put it and she told me to pop it in the corner.

I didn’t suggest he doesn’t care about football. I think he cares about money more than football though.
He’s a ruthless businessman Roy, and I don’t say that to be derogatory towards him. Very, very, able at what he does. Really not my cup of tea, but in terms of accumulating wealth the boy has done well.
If he can get the stadium for £25m he has also done well. I am sure for a few seasons he can run the club quite sustainably and get us back to the Championship, even in a relatively empty stadium (your words). I think after a few months of upset, things would soon settle down, and as the new team gains momentum the club would see 20k plus crowds again - even in L2. He wants the stadium not just because it’s bricks and mortar. He also knows he can pretty much rely on a high hardcore customer base. With no debt/liabilities he could with a careful purchase of players run the club at close to break even for a couple of seasons, and still not blunt promotion opportunities. In 3 seasons time it could easily look a very astute acquisition. He won’t be put off by that kind of timescale, even if very few of our fans like the idea of lower league fare for a while.

They are both gorgeous and hopefully having a lovely break with lots of good new smells to sniff. Hopefully your wifi/reception is bad so you only get to look on here occasionally!

Exactly. These diatribes against MM are just puerile and getting more and more tedious. Let’s move on.

I’m constantly amazed at the number of posters who make bold and often derogatory statements about MM as though they are factual. We can make assumptions about his thinking on the stadium and MA, based on what little we actually know but that’s all they are - assumptions. The only real fact is that we just don’t know. In my work, I’d be very wary of passing assumptions of as facts. Yes the various stories behind MM’s machinations could  be true but who knows. The old saying often trotted out in training courses is that “to assume makes an ass out of u and me”.

you’re so so right, but even the most steady of us fall in to fevered imaginings in these circumstances. 
 
I am sure suits are talking sensibly, and that includes MM. Of course they are. No one is throwing toys from the pram, it’s commerce and with 20/40 million squids being part of the discussion it was never going to be “it’s all right mate, keep the change”
But oh those fears and that wondering. I heard a lovely phrase a while back … when you wake up in the night and start thinking things .. It’s called a “thought ambush” …….. We’ve had our fair share over the last 3 years ! 

Having done both grounds,the Notts County one,of the two options,has more appeal,despite the Nottingham scenario.Stoke’s stadium with the cutaway corners is freezing and that’s in Summer!
Let’s hope we don’t ever have to make the choice ?
